@truckertoddllc2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used to do income videos frequently but it didn't have the desired result that I wanted. I did it hoping to motivate people but instead it made a lot of people mad at the company or criticize me because they said I should be making more or doing something differently. I also don't really like doing them because everyone's expenses will be different based on what type of truck you get and the year model. For example a 2018 Freightliner would have different insurance expenses and everything than a 2023 Peterbilt. I really prefer to leave these questions to a recruiter also because information can change. I've got guys that asked me questions and leave comments for videos I did about 3 years ago. Obviously the information I gave back then is different now for that company and they should really contact the company for the most accurate information. That's why I include recruiter contact information in the description of my videos so that people can get the most accurate information

Hey Todd. I wanted to comment on your thinking that a 1099 company driver is illegal. I believe if that person is using his SSN instead of an EIN number that would be correct. If he is using an EIN then he can be a 1099. He is TRADING his labor/time for compensation. That said, if he is receiving privileges such as sick/vacation/health benefits that would make him an employee and not a 1099 person. I am personally getting ready to do that process. I receive a State pension which also includes health benefits for life. I currently work for the enemy (federal govt) and I'm a truckdriver for a supermarket here in Commifornia for over 25 yrs at the same time. I will be retiring from the fed's at the end of this year. I will be getting my EIN and change to a 1099 status with the supermarket. I'm currently a casual driver (25+ yrs) in which I accrue NO sick/vacation nor do I receive health benefits and that will stay the same when I work for them more in the future. Receiving no benefits will/should qualify me as a 1099 worker. That's the way I see it.
@truckertoddllc2 жыл бұрын
I think I agree with you in principle. I do think in that situation it needs to pay really good to cover what you lose in taxes and benefits. In your situation the company reaps most of the tax deductions
@blkcobra032 жыл бұрын
@@truckertoddllc Well I won't lose health benefits because I have my State health/dental for life. I also will pay NO federal income taxes because people don't realize that ONLY federal employees and those receiving federal benefits/privileges (welfare, etc) are required to pay federal income tax. That is why the IRS states that federal income taxes are VOLUNTARY. We have been conditioned/indoctrinated to believe we are required to pay that tax.
@truckertoddllc2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure that's correct but I'm not well versed enough to debate you about that. But I've heard others say this before as well.
