Such a great vid man - player expression is key! Having fresh threads or character customization helps immersion when you might not be able to well irl

Thank you so much my guy!! I wish more games were better about player expression in some form or another lol. But it always gets locked behind loot boxes/money :/

very interesting point on player expression ! depending on the audience and the aim of the game, user generated content really can make the difference. minecraft goes even deeper, having such basic graphics that players can project way more easily and tell their own stories through symbolism they make up instead of being bound by what the devs have in mind. a block can mean many different things to different players and i think this aspect of mnecraft is vastly overlooked. great video, you could even make longer ones lol very nice to watch, keep going

I didn't even think about that and that's actually a massive point! Thank you for pointing that out and checking out the video! I will definitely be keeping that in my mind 100%

@@jonei yeah havent seen a lot of content around that but it works in so many ways. like in Worms games, you wouldnt hurt as much wormd that have your friends names, or you can see it even more clearly in the sims. the amount of projection the player does could count as user generated content but most of the time it stays in the provacy of the custom console that rund between our ears. glad you found thag useful, keep pushin man

You video is on point. I keep coming back to Apex every single day, like I do for Rocket League because there is no skill ceiling, new movement tech are discovered in both games and it adds to the next thing to work towards to. I love Apex, it has the best movement in any game that I have played before, the slide, the tap strafing, the wall bounce, the high time to kill, every single thing about Apex I love, except the corporate greed, EA is the worst company to be the real owner of such an amazing game. Me, like you, are on a path of learning how to make a game to create what Apex should be. You video about replicating the movement part was amazing and gave me hope of replicating with UE5, what Source games have: Amazing Movement. I’m following in your path Jonei, cant wait for the game you are building, thank you for sharing everything in your videos, and godspeed in your game dev path!!

Warzone sacked itself by removing most aspects of their skillgap. Took months of creators complaining just to get sprinting while plating to come back so they could finesse teams and get yt gameplays. I saw that shit from day one. They even took reload canceling out and told Jgod they intended it as a feature not a bug lol.

wth were they thinking lol.... I didn't know they took out plating while sprinting. Sounds absolutely awful xD
