My longest relationship was with an INTJ, and INTJs are people that I easily get along with, also absolutely love ENTJs and working with them. It's refreshing being with someone who approaches things and problems just like you. If both of you value each other's opinion, there is no conflict, just constant improvement.

I am an ENTJ woman with a INTP boyfriend and it's great how much your video really does help explain us. My bf is Taiwanese, and his culture involves lots of food and snacks, so your example of the maple bacon ice cream really hit home and made me laugh a lot. I really enjoy my INTP because he challenges me, sometimes I think I've already mastered something.. but he casually comes along and breaks it down to bits with his logic... This normally will frustrate me, and if it were anyone else I would be ready to defend myself, but I have come to understand that he does it out of love and have learnt to respect and value that about him. Not always does it feel that he does this out of love since he might add words like "dumb" and "stupid", but I've come to see past that and realize he otherwise has a great point! (He is learning not to use words like that with me, it hurts, he knows, after watching your video about ENTJs, he now gets it lol THANK YOU). After the fact I am challenged with new direction to be better and think smarter - I love him very much for taking the time to really focus on me that way :)

This "I would be ready to defend myself"_ might be my number one reason for misanthropy, from my daily, career perspective. I'm giving them truth and value, if they had the heathy ego to accept it, and even thank for it, and instead they "defend" themselves where no defense was ever necessary and with this defense "punish" me for trying to improve their situation. I don't repeat it anymore, I keep quiet when I see them be suboptimal or outright wrong. I give it to people the way they want it... it's fine. I, on the other hand, make *everything* to make people feel secure in criticizing me and explicitly assure them that _giving me value this way_ will be highly appreciated _instead._ You can't see your own blindspots. Honesty is the greatest gift.

As an ENTJ, I have three INTJ close friends ( one of them is my best friend ). I was starting to think I was an INTJ magnet. On first conversation me and my current best friend had, we both said that we give up on people asap if they don't seem efficient and interesting enough, and happily announced that we'd probably give up on each other too. Here we are after years of friendship being the best pals possible. I have to say, we are both super cautios when giving opinions and whenever one of us is mad we just leave each other alone for a while. We respect and value one another and our TIME so much that different problem solving styles don't bother us much, we're even starting business together. And setting aside our pride, we find it beautiful that we can cover for some of the other one's weaknesses.

@Bella Rose hello! INTP here. I’ve met this ENTJ on a dating site. We spoke for a bit and he asked me out on a date, pretty early into our interactions, judging from what I know about the type (the date is yet to happen). Since then we’ve chatted about our values as individuals and expectations when it comes to relationships and had some banter too (pure gold 🤣). He seems to be open and doesn’t beat around the bush, so to speak, which is hilarious at times. He did tell me that I’m cute. One way that entj+entj relationships work is by giving criticism in either a friendly or sexual rivalry way. The build up of tension and complete trust/honesty creates a very energy intensive atmosphere that may overwhelm everyone around the two of you. The energy intensiveness isn't an issue though, but they both need spaces to retreat for 6 hrs a day or a 6hr cuddle

I’m 32yo male INTP with 30 yo wife ENTJ (daughter ENFP I’ve typed at age 10) it’s intense and rewarding around here. Knowing why my wife gets so intense is helpful. I started acknowledging the experience she cares so much about around social hosting and even dinner time. I don’t care about these things I just want peace at the lowest dollar spent and now I see how it’s not helpful saying that to her. It’s not validating at all. I totally see her do the POLLS now too on decision making and hate when I don’t respect credentialed people. I’ve adapted lots of my traits to participate socially. I’ve experienced more of the world because of my wife. I’ve learned to be a little more decisive than before so she’s helped me lots. I feel home with her. 😄👌 many guys don’t understand our relationship but I cherish all the friction that comes with it! Daughter ENFP I get impressed and simultaneously pissed at her choices but now I’m started to get it. She’s very witty & passive for her age so I try to guide her. Learning is so helpful! @@singtoangels You have quite a gifted family...each one of your children are special and have their own unique ability...especially your INTP children if you could manage to train them and reduce their ability to procrastinate...INTPs are extremely creative...so one huge advice to you if you are willing to motivate them...Know their passions....and get more deep with them that way...if they are into music...get them an instrument they prefer (Not always recommended)...My mom is an ISFJ...my dad is an ISTP...my sisters (2) are INFP...and younger bro is extremely INFP...my older bro is an Immature INTP...and i am...an INTP aswell...but...i have trained myself (psychologically) enhancing my cognitive functions and all...knowing my weaknesses/stregth...and using that to my advantage...i have to say...MBTI has changed my life.

I am an ENTJ. My best friend is an ENTJ. We`ve been best friends for aprox. 6 years or even more. We connected from the start and none of the friends I ever had even came close to the type of friendship we have. We never see each other in a competition but rather we have the "we are in the same boat" kind of friendship. We are in competition with everyone else, the kind of disappointed types of ENTJ`s you`ve described previously. Each of us knows when the other one is down and what we need and when we need it. We listen to each other`s advice. We have that altruism side only for each other. You hit it like 100 % with the description video about ENTJ`s, but I`m sorry you`re very wrong about this one when it comes to ENTJ - ENTJ compatibility. It`s because ENTJ`s are rare and weird in their way, it would seem only normal to appreciate more each other for being the same.

It doesn’t always work. I know an ENTJ who snubs every idea from INTPs and this promotes a resentment and distance between them. Of course there’s healthy and unhealthy types and this could be an example. A tongue-in-cheek comment I’ve made before is get a room full of ENTJs and you have the setup for Hunger Games.

I have many ideas all of the time of generally equal value, so Ni user telling me something is not as good helps me put the ducks in a row. What pisses me off is when my comfort is disregarded. It seems people with same judging functions feel often more comfortable with each other, depends also where it is in the function stack, e.g. Fi dominant will feel better with someone with Fi, because values are so important for them and want others to have it, IXTPs are getting disappointed when others are stupid, and IXFPs when people have no morals. but then extroverted judging functions completing introverted ones and vice versa give more opportunity to grow and learn from each other, this is how I see it

I'm an ENTJ/ENFJ (or ENFJ-T, one of the two) my husband is an INTP. We are both set on improvement and morality. I don't think I would be as compatible and able to improve with anyone else. He says I've made him more compassionate and he's made me more confident. He's more stability focused and I'm more career focused. In some way we think, aspire to achieve and live a lifestyle outside of what's common. I enjoy his logic and patience and that he's not afraid to point things out or not conform to unnecessary social ways. He will conform sometimes because it's the thing to do to save unnecessary conflict but for example he'd question the logic to anyone in needing to wear certain polished shoes for a restaurant, the point in singing happy birthday, giving presents on dedicated days like Christmas because then it's not very genuine and he questions the general fake social smiles and attitudes and will blatantly ask others "but what do you actually think or want?". It always amazes me. Our conflicts are usually about our social approaches, the way we explain perspectives and I get grumpy at things not being organised properly. But non of us are closed off to listening and changing if it makes enough sense so conflicts are short lived.

As an ENTJ, here is my take on ISFJs: - ISFJs like to dwell on their strong and emotional impressions that they've had throughout their life (Si/Fe). As an ENTJ, I tend to translate this into being shortsighted (lack of Ni) and traditional for the sake of comfort (dominate Si). Everything they do relates back to their rather subjective impressions of the world over the span of their life, and they have a hard time understanding much of anything beyond those impressions (inferior Ne). - As an ENTJ, I tend to have a negative association with introverted sensing, as I would personally describe it as being "stuck in a time that I don't concern myself with". I tend to live life according to what I'd like to achieve (dominant Te and auxiliary Ni) and the new experiences I could be having (tertiary Se), however ISFJs have a really hard time with changing and they can often be rather irrational about considering long-term and abstract perspectives of life-they simply don't trust introverted intuition, as it seems to make leaps into the unknown that makes them uncomfortable, as they are blind to it. They also find the Te approach to be rather cruel and lacking in "kind consideration of others". - They like to spend a lot of time talking about the practicalities of their day (chores and their duties) and people problems, which means that they constantly want me to be involved with the feeling attitudes of not only them, but everyone around them they either care about or dislike (forcing me to constantly engage in Fe, even though I have a hard time accessing inferior Fi as it is). Some people might find this aspect of ISFJs to be "endearing" and to help ENTJs grow in their values, but I see it as a waste of my time because if I'm going to engage in my feelings, then I'd prefer it be less shallow than what an ISFJ can offer me. - ISFJs are like little timid deers running through the forest, as they tend to overly worry and concern themselves with theoretical and negative possibilities that are based entirely on their skewed use of inferior intuition. This not only makes for terrible conversations, but it also breeds clingy behavior that can begin to feel restricting over time. - While ISFJs can be quite organized and dutiful, they're not very good at managing systems because they navigate the world through their impressions and how these impressions make them feel (Si/Fe), which means that they do a lot of impractical shit that just makes no sense to me. Like buying see-through curtains because they like the way it makes a room feel, however constantly complaining that people on the front porch can see through the windows. Then stop buying see-through curtains, idiot! - ISFJs tend to focus more on peoples behaviors and the tone of voice more than actions and intent. They're prone to completely missing the point of what you're trying to explain simply because they're being overly sensitive "to the tone of voice that you've used", which ends an intellectual conversation because it becomes more of a therapy session for the ISFJs hurt feelings over something as silly as a tone of voice that had no intention in the first place. I often feel like I have to speak to ISFJs like babies and walk around egg-shells to get anywhere with them in terms of a conversation that goes into more intellectual interests. To summarize this, I have no admiration or interest in Si, and there is not enough cognitive understanding between one another to bridge gaps between these types. I can respect them as people from a distance, but they're not people I'd be close friends with or even consider a relationship with. For the sake of an oversimplification on why ENTJs might end up with xSFJs on average, it might have something to do with these types being common in women. I actually get along a lot better with ESFJs than I do ISFJs, however a lot of the complaints that I have about ISFJs could be explained with ESFJs as well. I tend to stay away from xSFJs, and most of my deeper bonds have been with INFPs (on an emotional level) and your occasional ISFP if they actually fucking talk, the mute bastards. But to be honest, I talk a lot (as you can tell from my writing), so it might not be all that bad. Lolol As for INTPs, I only know one and we get along pretty well. Since INTPs are residing mainly in the darkest part of their house, I don't have an opportunity to meet them in the wild.

I am an ENTJ woman and my ISFJ is very private and sensitive. I cannot be vulnerable in his presence. He just thought that I was his ideal until I told him that I was suffering from anxiety. He exclaimed that there is really no ideal one. I recovered in no time and I became stronger because of that. He was trying to get me to hug her every time she cried (which was a lot) and i literally could not. I had to get away like drive away. Good point that there are simply more ISFJs out there, and they're nice too. From my observation, ENTJs will get along better with mature INFJs with good Se who could cover practical stuff, however it's just INFJs are rarer out there. Some of them also probably after feelers (ENFP) or other introverts (INTx).

I couldn't help but recall when a few days ago I was playing an xbox game with my INTP bf and he basically took over this little in-game task for me bc I wasn't proving any competence in the span of ten seconds and it was my first time with that in-game task, although his argument was that it wasn't my first time playing a game itself, and so in-game I removed myself from him and he kindly pleaded I come back and when I said no, he sadly asked why not. I know this is supposed to be a baseline for compatibility. However, I do have some skepticism. In this lecture, you had indicated that ISFJ was among one of the four highest compatibilities with ENTJ. If that was the case, then that would mean that ESFJ would be among the four highest compatiblities for INTJ (according to your system). However, irl, I have typically had some of the worst relationships with ESFJs. This could be due to gender or even power dynamics (work/family) -- and I know I am not the only one. While there may be some mistyping or effects from being "unhealthy" or not well developed (for both types), clearly there has to be some assumptions in regards to compatibility.

You are not wrong. Social compatibility is as general as you get. it is not the deepest form of compatibility in which I would wager is more face to face. Furthermore, there is also the concept of camaraderie as well as how human nurture impacts people. If the levels of maturity do not match up, it does not matter how compatible they are, nothing will work.

I like ISFJs better because they usually level headed. For me ESFP detrain me if they really extroverted because they all over the place in things they like and easily contradict them selves. For male ENTJ types you (CSJ) said that they typically marry SFJ women. I believe it is important with the balance of both pragmatic and affiliative types in an relationship. The pragmatics relieve tension created by the affiliative and the affiliative relieve tension created by the pragmatic. Of course this is not always the case since many well working relationships have a double pair of each, but the dynamic of relieving the tension would be quite calming and provide a sense of security for the ENTJ male with Fi inferior. Fi is about feeling of attachement to others and it has a more responding long-term attitude compared to Fe. Fi inferior means that the attachement have a somewhat insecurity to it and probably only a affiliative high Fe user can provide that conformity that the ENTJ needs for a long term relationship. SFJs have the two most affiliative functions in their ego and those are Si and Fe. In a recent lecture you (CSJ) said that male relationship is based on affiliation and female relationship is based on pragmatism and this may explain that female ENTJ can endure pragmatic males but not the other way around.

By personal experience of being an Enfp at a time in my life, they don't need entj's up in their business. I am an entj. I was enfp for a period of 2ish years of my life. If you're gonna shack up together... The enfp doesn't need complete emotional sanctity from a partner, if their focus is on who they want to make smile or laugh every day. An entj may need to contribute, by giving the enfp things and ideas they can change or reform into instruments of happiness, creativity. That would for sure capture their heart piece by piece. As their heart IS the environment and life they create or try to reside in. In a way entj and enfp are both compatible with that aspiration, but I don't recommend their unity.

I am quite certain my female colleague is an ENTJ. These videos helps me immensely. If I don't screw up. I am worried she is suspicious if my intentions. And at this moment of my life I am working on how to express my intentions so that people don't misunderstand me. In regards to if the entj or intp is smarter argument, I think the more accurate thing to consider (which you did mention) is they're different types of knowledge gained in different ways (experiential vs intellectual reference) and applied in different ways. Damn if the istp likes the entj then ya better clap down on going for it. Pro tips, As an entj never have I ever been more impressed with my istp buds that ask me to help them to do something, only to find out they already did it and now I'm part of the squad because the thing I just made has to be my own so it isn't useless. Also to show your sensing awareness of a variety of scenarios you can bring up or just talk about, are great discussions. If they like you too, humoring comedy will make em blush. if the comedy is sexual and they're nipping at it like lil mako sharks, make it a meal they cant refuse 😏
