What UFC Fighters "Really" think about Ilia Topuria ?

Ilia Topuria is becoming a superstar in the UFC. After knocking out Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 to win the featherweight belt, Topuria has big plans to return to Spain as a champion.
Ilia Topuria has set some lofty goals for himself as the new UFC featherweight champion. The Georgian-Spanish fighter recently opened up about his fight plans going forward and revealed he's targeting a fight against Conor McGregor and two others before facing Islam Makhachev to become the UFC's pound-for-pound king.
Topuria recently defeated Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 earlier this month at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. While many backed the Australian to push Topuria to his limits, 'El Matador' finished him via a brutal second-round knockout and took home the 145-pound strap.

Hes training and sequence he learned his skills was perfectly structured to birth ilia topuria.

I'm from Georgia and I believe I know how someone as smart and experienced person as his father (who lost his homeland and hometown in early 90s) would think in the early 2000s, and if he gave his son the permission to drop out of school to follow his fighting career, then Ilia was really remarkable from childhood. I believe he has autist level of concentration and IQ when it comes to fighting. Great job Ilia. I'm sure you're going to make us all proud of coming from the same country as you.

Agree, I'm from Alicante and have a few friends that used to train with him at Climent. For almost a decade I have been hearing his and brothers name, and how convinced they were he was the next big thing. Those who were fortunate to see him train all shared the same opinión. He didn't come out of nowhere, not only does he have the talent, but trains like a beast. Im so happy for him and the Climent family. If I learned something about his UFC rise, is which analyst are worth listening to, and wich ones not. 😅 Everytime I heard one of them say he is only a chance puncher or question his ground game. it seriously make me cringe at their lack of knowledge.

@NBA-bw5ot No comparison, First of all, Volk took this second fight on short notice and coming of a surgery and with no camp. Islam is a great fighter, and I think even he can acknowledge that in this fight he had a lot of things going in his favor before it even started. Ilias KO set up is proper of a highlevel boxer, the way he used that combo of throw a away punches just to get Volk to back up to a corner, then ( my favorite part ) had the patience and eye to use that slight step faint, that set the trap for him to measure and unleash that beast of a punch. It was so technical, the fact you can't aknowledge it or see it shows you're either biased or don't know what you're talking about. It dropped him like a sack of potatoes. He was properly out, not like against Islam, they had to pull out the salts on this ocassion.
