Same when I started Mewing about 4 years ago. I did hard mewing and did not apply the same pressure left and right because the roof of my mouth is not that wide for my tongue. My right side got better, and I started chewing more on the left to somehow fix it. Now, my left side is better because of the consistent chewing of hard foods. I found something on the internet that shows how your face would look if it were symmetrical, with your only left side and your only right side. After chewing more on my left, it got more defined, while my right side is a little bit down and sloppy-not that noticeable for other people, but for myself, I can see it clearly. Now I'm chewing more on my right, hoping it'll get a little better. So my take is that mewing temporarily improves your look and posture; permanent results are slow and will take years if you're an adult, but do the proper one, and chewing hard food and lowering your body fat will make your face more defined.
