Ever wondered what existed before the Big Bang? In "What Was Before the Big Bang?", we dive deep into the abyss of the universe's origins, exploring the edge of what science, philosophy, and cosmology can tell us about the very beginning. It's a question that has puzzled thinkers and scientists alike for centuries: if the Big Bang marks the explosive creation of everything we know, what, if anything, was there before?
This video isn't just a science lesson; it's an adventure that stretches the limits of our imagination. We'll explore various theories that attempt to answer this mind-bending question. From the possibility of a cyclic universe, endlessly expanding and contracting, to Stephen Hawking's revolutionary No-Boundary Proposal, suggesting a universe without a beginning as we understand it. We'll also delve into the fascinating concept of a multiverse, a cosmos filled with countless universes, each unique in its own right.
Featuring insights from leading physicists like Brian Greene and Paul Steinhardt, we peel back the layers of the cosmos to reveal a universe far more complex and interconnected than we ever imagined. Whether it's the intriguing idea of universes giving birth to each other or the enigmatic forces driving the universe's acceleration, we're covering it all.
So, grab your cosmic passport and join us on a journey to the very edge of knowledge and beyond. "What Was Before the Big Bang?" isn't just a question; it's a gateway to understanding our universe's past, present, and future. Let's explore the ultimate mystery together, and who knows? Maybe we'll find some answers-or even more questions-along the way.

One of the curent emerging theories is that that our univsere was in fact created from a singularity from another universe so the big bang was in fact a huge mass collapsing into a black hole. The reason we would never be able to cross into that universe is that you cannot cross the event horizon of a black hole in the other direction being that is the boundary to our universe. This would mean black holes forming in our universe would in fact be the creation of other universes. An interesting theory to say the least!

It's not that we don't know we know, and the answer is nothing happened before the big bang because time didn't exist before the bug bang only at the moment of or after the big bang. It's like me asking you Where's the edge of the universe, or what's darker than the color color black or what is stronger than gravity? The universe doesn't have an edge. There's nothing darker than black, and nothing in the universe is stronger than gravity, so your question makes no sense.

So if gravity can also be repulsive, perhaps that indicates a necessary relationship between gravity and heavy objects. It sounds like gravity actually seeks out heavy objects to “link” to, but when no objects are close enough to each other to actually interact, it “zooms out” creating this universal expansion. There could also be an unknown connection between gravity and temperature. What happens to water when it freezes? It expands. As the universe continues to expand it also continues to cool. Just a thought. And yes, I don’t know 💩 about gravity, but it’s fun to think about

"when" is a point on the axis of "time". Time has a direction because everything in the near-by universe moves at the speed of light in that (or close) direction. Time, as we perceive it, requires such a direction and that didn't exist until after the big bang. Maybe a simple analogy (and not very correct one) can help visualize the concept: A star shedding solar wind; the solar wind moves away from the star and a very small observer carried by a shockwave in that wind may see their 2D universe (the shockwave front) expand and cool off. They could measure "time" with that expansion - the distance from the surface of the star to a 3D observer. They'd infer there was a "time" when their universe was very small, hot and dense - at the center of the star. That would be a singularity from their point of view, it would make no sense - similar to how we observe our Universe. The main deficiencies of this analogy is the speed at which we are moving away from the BigBang being the speed limit of causality - the speed of light, and that we experience our Universe as 4D; one of the dimensions being one-directional because we can't turn back time, because everything around us travels as fast as possible in roughly the same direction at the speed limit

It could be that our observable universe came from _one_ Big Bang. However, The Big Bang Theory doesn't really explain where Spacetime comes from, it's an assumption. It could be that Spacetime has always existed, and its Dark Energy is prone to creating Big Bangs of Matter after extremely long periods of time. Example: 10 Trillion Light Years from us could be a way older Big Bang, already going through its heat-death, meanwhile, in another direction 10 Trillion Light Years from us? Another Big Bang could be occurring right now. And we'll never know due to the distances.

Science is the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained. Without any evidence we can't suggest God as a scientific theory. Now personally I like to believe that there has to be some kind of creator of reality, but the bigger question is, are any of the religions actually true, or is God someone who hasn't revealed himself. I can't say what the afterlife is like or if it even exist, but the idea that "reality just suddenly popped into existence" makes less sense than saying that "God created us into existence". Have faith my friend, i believe that it's completely illogical to believe life came from nothing.

Very nice video and topic, thanks "Science Time"! What happened before the fairy tale Big Bang? I will tell you the true story now... At the very beginning there was a kind of UNIVERSE BUBBLE EXPLOSION (you can easily imagine this using a soap bubble diagram). In these many different protective plasmas or bubbles, new (baby) universes emerged due to the INFLATION PERIOD (chemical reactions that we already know). This process also perfectly explains the different expansion speeds in different zones of our cosmos. Back in the very beginning, there were smaller bubbles of different sizes that merged into bigger universe bubbles or pocket universes (larger pieces absorbed smaller ones). By the way, it's the same process with galaxies and star clusters... So today, when we look into this gigantic space we call "our universe", we are actually looking into a huge MULTIVERSE or MEGAVERSE that has grown together over time. That's a really nice and realistic idea of the beginning of space and time, isn't it?

QuantumSingleLarryT came from quantum entanglement, from the from being one with the universe, that creates a wormhole and the days of futures past time paridox, but also because of how time space and reality are one,but not without the whole truth.,and why the stars just dont shine without the one.

The singularity at the bottom of a black hole could be a "big bang" in the making. The singularity is like an egg and the matter from the universe which fell into the black hole is the...well you get the idea. Black hole is the mommy, universe is the daddy, big bang is the birth and the new universe is the baby, singularity is the egg, matter is the nut.

Before Universe There was no Time. Time begins from Big Bang. What spark or initiate big bang? So the answer is God. Quran say : Time it self is a servant of Lord. The sentence explains allot. Quran have allot of information. Quran say : We Created this whole Universe in 6 Days . 7 Skies with no Plillers. There are Angles So Big that you can not imagine.

What was before the Big Bang? Well, the bang might have been a really long boom, not a fast bang. And there might be other, parallel universes too. Oh and the universe might be expanding and contracting for like, ever too, with no beginning like ever. Huh? What was the question?

A layman visualization of our universe with a possible parent universe. Imagine a water drain as a simplistic visualization of a black hole. Run the visualization backwards for a simplistic visualization of a white hole in a cosmic entanglement. Every thing has travelled through the drain(center) leading to landing on expanding spacetime. Time is the constant that without it, we can locate the center where Big Bang happened on the space, because we’d still be there. But, time is like the strings of balloons coming together in a knot (Big Bang), leading to space where the strings of time have brought the space expanding forward in all directions. Everything was at one place in one time therefore everywhere was the center of the Big Bang universe at one time. In search for beginning, you tell me where the beginning of a circle is, and I tell you where you think the circle ends. But if you think of the circle or sphere as an expanding circle or sphere, the focal point is the beginning of the circle or sphere and the center at one time. So were every point in the circumference of the circle or the sphere. The center of the universe is a location hidden by time and out of our reach by 13.73+ billion expanding years and out of our visual range by minimum of additional 33 billion light years of expansion, all in a mesmerizing 93 billion light year cosmic visual horizon, which in that picture only, we’re the focal point (center).

If we take the theory of bing bang as the origin of universe. The singularity were does this singularity exist? Was it just an empty space. Nothingness. How was the singularity formed? This is so complicated. Logically if something exist it means it should have a origin.but the origin of our universe is unknown. illogically thinking we can just say it just existed. I think the best theory is thinking about before bing bang is meaningless since time we know of doesn't exist that time. everything just started out of nowhere its just infinity or maybe a loop a cycle that just keep repeating itself.

There are only 2 possivle answers. Nothing or everything. Assuming that the idea of something being created from nothing is rediculios then only one answer left. The big crunch. This only requires that all the mass in the entire universe be sufficient to cause the universe to collapse under its own gravity to create a singularity resulting in the big bang. This cyclic universe is the only one that makes reasonable sense.

What has been from the beginning is "The Processing System of LIFE"...* *1st there was Nothing which is Something or we would NOT be able to refer to it, Awoke or became Aware of it self...* *It is "AWARENESS" that was responsible for establishing "The Processing System of LIFE", based on Concepts...*
