You should put the 2nd stage cage inside thr 3rd stage cage so when they are ready for for 3rd stage you can open the door and let them go to tye 3rd stage by them selfs

Hey Blake maybe you can make a divider of some sort. To keep the ducklings from going back and forth. Might be a little easier in the grabbing process just a thought hopefully it helps if you read this. Have a great day

In terms of keeping a male or female for the silver white cheek pin tails, the silver I’m guessing is a mutation, and it may be sex link. For instance in budgies and other birds, if you have a pied hens and a normal male you’ll get birds that look normal but have the mutation inside them, so if you breed two splits together you’ll get the mutation in visual form. But if you have a pied male and a normal hen you can get pied and normal looking babies.

You should route/cut a slot in the roof so you can slide a divider on there to cut them off to one side for removal.
