That you don’t give up on a play. Basic principles that are often over looked and are the solid foundation Jackson built off of to become a player at the highest level. If he quits his team quits , not only is it admiral it should be respected , you don’t let someone or an opponent have their way just because of their status and popularity. They weren’t fucking scared of being on the wrong side of a poster back then too. This was real basketball not the aesthetically pleasing semi scripted money motivated entertainment we see now days.

Yeah I think he was jumping with MJ just in case the lob was errant and not high enough so he could knock the ball outta bounds. That's giving it your best on defence. Unfortunately for him the lob by Sam was perfect, MJ caught it & jammed it home.

If you have time to "think" about something on the court... You're really not that good of a Basketball Player. You react instinctively... Mark Jackson his been around the best high flyers in the game his whole life, including Walter Berry. He's also a Mt. Rushmore "Basketball IQ" Guy for me. It wasn't his first rodeo.
