It greatly touches my heart to hear these young men midrashing the Torah. Would that all our young people find their passion for the Devar Elohim.

Or HaChaim "There is another element hinted at in the way G'd instructed Moses. We are taught in Makkot 10 that "G'd leads people on the path they have chosen for themselves." Therefore He first said to Moses: "Go, please!" He meant that if you Moses are willing to perform this commandment, I will send you, i.e. I will fulfil your wish and make you My messenger. From this you learn that if Moses would have refused the mission G'd would not have forced it upon him."

Or HaChaim "You may also take a look at what I have written in connection with Jacob sending Joseph on his fateful mission. G'd may also have assured Moses that if he were concerned about any mishap, he would be a messenger of G'd who had no reason to fear for his safety. In fact this fact saved him in the incident at the inn (Exodus 4,26)."

Surely UNITY has to come through the love for HASHEM “Shemar Yisrael - YHWH your Elohim is ECHAD - ONE.” If we truly LOVE Elohim, we will LOVE also our brother / neighbour. The question remains are we willing to OBEY His commandments in TRUTH and RUACH?

Very interesting discussion yet I am unable to agree with Evan’s remarks regarding Yoseph unable to ‘start the discussion of unity’. I see that Yoseph DOES indeed reconcile through forgiveness and SEEING / understanding the HAND of THE SHEPHERD (HaSHEM) regardless of the EVIL intent of his brothers, whereas Moshe never appears to unite with his brothers BECAUSE of the EVIL intent of the people. They PLOT against Aaron and Moshe at versions times to KILL their brother. I am also curious about the place where Yoseph is sent to LOOK for his brothers at SHECHEM - which is actually the same place where his bones are buried - I ponder upon its significance especially in light of Eze 37. Shalom and I am grateful for the insights and discussions here.

Since Israel and the whole Earth belongs to God we should allow God to decide who lives in the land. Better for shalom to be in our midst as a vision to promote love.❤

We have seen the miracle of modern Israel with our own eyes. Just as G-d promised we returned. It us not a mystery who G-d wants in the land

“And if a stranger🇵🇸 sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not do him wrong. The stranger🇵🇸 that sojourneth with you shall be unto you as the home-born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers🇮🇱 in the land of Egypt🇪🇬: I am the LORD your God.” (Lev 19.33-34, JPS)

Wrong!!! This verse is about a stranger who puts his faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God tells Israel not to mistreat him.

@@13GS13Was not Ismael a son of Abraham, also hid sons from Keturah, all worship the God of Abraham. “And Abraham took another wife, and her name was Keturah. And she bore him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.” (Genesis 25:1-2, JPS)

Ismael is also described as a man wild like a boar because of his nature to attack (as he did to his brother, Yitzhak), thus forcing Sarah to kick out both him and his mother, Hagar. If someone is trying to hurt you - or kill you - you drive them AWAY from you, rather than being merciful on the cruel. Hence, what we are seeing in 2023/2024. You don’t welcome the cruel stranger to hurt you and your family - that is what we called misplaced compassion and being a friar.

@@learntogrow6861 first off, the Zionist started out as purely secular. Second off they where invited into a land not theirs, as refugees in need of protection. Yes the land was taken away from them by the very God of Abraham as he promised he would do, if they failed to abide by the agreement. This happed twice! Next we have the Three Oaths, this is seen too, in Cain’s exile from Eden. Fallen Israel has a mark of protection upon them, I would say it is the Torah, but they must do what Cain did not, self reflect, acknowledging all their wrong doing, and change for the better, in humility! All while waiting for the promised Messiah to return and lead them back home. “Glorify not thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men; For better is it that it be said unto thee: 'Come up hither', than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince, whom thine eyes have seen.” (Proverbs 25:6-7, JPS)

The stranger🇵🇸 should be working for the betterment of Israel and not against Israel. Remember, you stranger are being grafted in, and you are not from the original Olive Tree. The stranger should not come with their own ideology but should abide by God's commandments. The stranger shouldn't think that his rules are better than the Creator of the universe commandments. The stranger is free to leave. The God of Israel is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. He told Moses that this is the name HE wants to be know by. Exodus 3:15 God also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers-the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob-has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.

17:35 keep in mind, there are many Jews who disagree with Zionism and the occupation in the land that was given on a conditional promise. That condition was broken, twice.

@@brighthought11 if the LORD was with Zionist, why aren’t the Zionist following Torah? Forced conscription isn’t in line with Torah. IDF uprooted the fruit trees of Gaza, Torah says not to cut down fruit trees.
