Imagine if what hit Tunguska hit Moscow or Washington at the 1960's when both powers had Nukes but Astrology and Radar technology isn't nearly as developed as it is today. The country that was hit would immediately think its rival used a Nuke or a similar powerful weapon that doesn't emit radiation and would have retaliated, starting a nuclear WW3.

Eh, something to note is that Asteroid is a board catalogy and many of them are actually composed of water and ice themselves. In fact, the water within Asteroids is almost identical to the water found on earth (not so with comets) with it being more then likely that they are responsible for water on earth. Also, some asteroids are not made of metal but are effectively just gravel held together barely by their shared gravity.

​@@frailgrail7452no that is historically accurate. Most of north east Eurasia was basically a wasteland as its mostly filled with permafrost tundra and forests. Most of the nomadic people of the Eurasian steppe tended to avoid Serbia as the resources in their wasn't compatible with any sort of lifestyle besides sparse heavily nomadic hunting practices of a handful of individuals at all times. When the Russians moved east wards they actually focused mainly on the semi arid Eurasian steppe for most of their time which is mostly marked in the modern day by the trans Siberian railway. Its reputation as a harsh frozen hellscape were no one lives is such that its technically one of the few places in the old world that no one wanted to live there or actually claim because until modern times it pretty much was.
