True, beats for rapping over and beats meant to be heard as instrumentals are going to (or should) have different amounts of production going on in them. He's doing a vocal-rhythm mimic in several parts of the video so he obviously imagines vocals on the track. Now, for this sort of video, is it a good idea to make a vocal-centric beat instead of a production-focused one? Maybe not.

Actually a really fair point and I felt similar. I’m not the biggest fan of Timbaland necessarily but a lot of producers forget that they’re making beats for rappers and not other producers. There’s a reason why so many of the beats that land major placements are relatively simple and leave a lot of space for vocals. I had to start cutting sounds out of my samples because of this. Of course there are always exceptions

I worked for Beatclub before they laid off all employees with hundred of thousands in unpaid invoices looming over imminent bankruptcy (allegedly 😉) This was filmed 2 years ago. It’s the same studio we shot the infamous MPC collab video a day later and just like that one Tims energy was “let’s get this shit done I really dgaf” and it shows. The irony of him saying “Amazon of beats” should not be skimmed over (look up strike) Tim wants to be a billionaire. There is no ethical way to a billion. You have to own the means of production in order to exploit naive artists ignorance to benefit the company (Beatclub) issue is Tim put a very inadequate person in charge of his business and it failed (allegedly) He could have done it, but as we all know Beatclub just made misstep after misstep.
