My first guitar was a cheap acoustic guitar out of a sears and roebuck catalog back in 1973 then a few months later i got my first electric out of the same catalog.

My first electric guitar was a Gibson Les Paul Standard. I ended up hating it because the pickups always gave me feedback and it didn't feel good in my hands. I then switched to Fender Stratocasters and now I have three custom shop models (including a 1956 which is my favorite guitar out of the fourteen I own). Old Joke of the Day: How many guitars do you need? Answer: Just one more! Congratulations on having more than 230,000 subscribers. You are the best and inspired me five years ago to "go for it" which is pretty good for a disabled Vietnam vet who was just learning how to play. Kudos to you! Cheers.

The one in the Thumbnail of todays upload. A HSH layout Stratocaster with very beautiful glossy sunburst finish. After 25 years I finally was able to get the value it truly has to me. I totally unerappreciated the factory standard this guitar builder had. Unfortunately he is no more. Now that I know the actual difference between many manufacturers in the various price ranges I honestly must say it is a level above.

My first guitar was a Gibson ES-335 that I saved six months to buy, that I purchased way back in 1989. This was back in the day when you could buy just about anything for $500. Someone had replaced the neck at some point, but it still was a good player. I sold it about two years later, and bought a 1981 Les Paul Std. which I still own to this day.

My first electric guitar was a no-name strat-copy that was absoluty terrible. xD But my first electric guitar I actually worked with was a Squier Affinity Tele in Butterscotch Blonde that I absolutly loved. I sadly don't have it anymore, but I really want to have a Tele again ever since. :D

Yamaha Pacifica 012 upgraded with EMG 81/SA/SA pups, elixir strings, flat fretboard, stainless steel frets, TUSQ nut, removed tremolo and a Gotoh fixed bridge instead of that, Gotoh locking tuners,. Also it had Ross -the Bosses autoghaph from Manowar. I also changed pickguards for cool color. anyway is wasnt as playable as any of neck-thru Ibanezs RGRT I have now

Yamaha pacifica 112, I've had it and practiced on it every day for about 3 weeks now. I'm pretty happy with it, build quality is great, looks sick especially with a checked strap I got for it. Idk that much about guitars yet but I think it's a good value guitar that you can get really good on before ever needing an upgrade.

my first guitar is a Yamaha SE 300 electric and I've had for over 36 or 37 years and it still works and sounds great I got it as a christmas present from my mom and stepdad it's all black with a wood grain fret board and the pick guard is white.

My first was an Ibanez EDR 470 EX. It's silver colored and has a thin and super comfortable neck. Ibanez doesn't make the ergodyne guitars for 18 years. I bought mine used last year and it was love at first sight

Bought a Samick FV 450 in 1993. Replaced the pickups with a Steve's Special and an Air Norton and it still flies to this day, even though I have more expensive guitars.

My first guitar was a Takamine F-340, a big old acoustic dreadnought style guitar that and a beginner guitar book was a gift from a friend of my mom. I got it when I was a teenager and I played it for awhile, but I wasn’t consistent with it past the first few months and I didn’t learn anything more than a few of the rudimentary songs in the book, I didn’t even learn any of the chord songs in the book. And after that it mostly stayed in a corner of my room for a long time; every now and then I’d pick it up and try to learn something new but I didn’t get anywhere with it. Because it was a gift I always felt bad that I didn’t play it very much, so a few years ago I decided to get serious about learning to play, and I stuck with it every since. The guy who gave me that guitar said something that’s always stuck with me “all music is noise, and all noise is music, the difference is between good noise and bad noise” your channel is one of my favorites that I came across since I started watching guitar KZbin videos, keep making good noise Rachel.

My firts guitar was a yamaha pacifica. I modified it with some Seymour Duncan Pickups. The change in sound was really amazing. Currently i play a Ibanez RG also modiefied with some Duncan pickups (Distortion Mayhem), perfect combination .

Mine was a midnight blue Ibanez RX-20. I paid about $200 for it in 1997. It's a fun, lightweight, two-humbucker guitar with a Strat style body. I still have it and cherish it.

my first guitar was an ibanez gax70 i got on facebook marketplace for $80 of lawn mowing allowance most of the frets were worn flat but it stayed in tune and it looked reminiscent of an SG so i was happy not too long ago i passed it down to my younger brother to be his first guitar and now i have a much nicer zemaitis V with brand new frets.

Mine was a stratocaster type Washburn, when I got a better guitar I then used it as a practice guitar to make modifications. Now it is fretless, has a momentary kill switch and piezo pickups in the headstock. I love the chokers, you look beautiful as always.

Yamaha Pacifica 012. Easy to play, fine quality for a beginner guitar. Really liked it. And even if I don't play it that much anymore, I still have it and I don't think I will ever give it away.

Funny you ask. I just bought mine back. IN 1984 I bought an 83 Standard Stratocaster. (Chad SMith Era) I had it about 10-11 years before I let it go. Always regretted that. It is back to me tomorrow. :) It even still has the Seymour Duncan Pickup I put in it.

Some red Yamaha which after a day or two I then begged my mom to help me return it when I saw a black matte ESP AX-50 at the mall. That was like 18 years ago, and I still have it and it's still in good shape. I put in locking tuners and want to try and put Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickups in it. I feel like it would fit it well.

Ibanez RG550EXL (lefty version of RG550EX). I intended to get a non-black guitar without a pickguard and a Floyd, so naturally I ended up with exactly that lol. No regrets though. :)

From what I can remember it was a 1980’s artist replica of a fender telecaster, I bought it 2nd hand, it was heavy sounded deep and had 11 gauge strings, an off white colour, I loved it but it was stolen a while later when my house was broken into 🥲

Mine was an Aria Pro 2 in blue. I didn’t know at the time that I had to actually learn how to play it ! So I gave it to my brother. My coworker found a beat up Fernandez guitar on the side of the road! He cleaned it up and says it plays ok.

My first guitar is the Ibanez RG320EXZ. I can recommend that guitar, it's lightweight, and comfortable. I bought it in February. I started playing on my dad's guitar, I don't know it's brand. I started it in December, with the Iron man. My playing was terrible😹. Now I almost can play the Enter sandman's solo. I mostly play Death, Gojira, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Sepultura, and Anthrax. Now I'm saving up for the Ibanez RG7421-WNF. I don't go any guitar teacher, but if I'm wrote the admission, (I'm go to the 8th grade) I'll go to a teacher. I want to be one of Hungary's best guitarists. Stay Metalhead :D 🤘🎸 Pls reply🤘🥺🤘xd

Im glad you were able to still hold on to your first guitar. My first guitar was a used black Squier tele with black pickguard. Unfortunately, I traded it in after playing it for a year or two. I still miss it! I even bought an american fender tele a few years back, that's identical to my first guitar, hoping it would play and feel the same, but it's just not the same. 😥

Mine was a Korean made Ibanez S Series in light purple. Had a Jimi Hendrix, Purple Haze vibe to it. I loved it so much. I still have it but tend to prefer my RG Ibanez guitar these days. Prefer the slightly larger, wider neck when reaching out for individual notes.
