If you haven't seen the Paris New Year's Eve 2020 countdown, search it on KZbin and check it out. It's visually stunning and musically it rocks! We watched the celebrations in all the major cities and Paris was the best by far! Totally worth it! Watch it on your big screen tv if you can.

For people who are allergic or cannot do SOY like TOFU, etc. In recipes calling for tofu, TVP, etc. I would sub jackfruit, chickpeas, lentils, beans, mushrooms, solid/sliced regular or quinoa-based polenta. Coconut Aminos vs Soy sauce.

Happy New Year - this was a great one! I love your fam stuff. And Barry, omg he’s so precious. I really love the way you guys communicate and cook. You’re honest too which I appreciate. I depend on your reviews to guide me through since I have a limited budget and don’t want to make errors trying stuff. So just know that what you do really means a lot to a six month vegan. (3 year vegetarian).

Looks like such a fun day! I wonder if pre scrambling the just egg and then adding that in after the tofu might have gotten closer to the scrambley texture. I’ve never used just egg but that whole breakfast looked delish

Tofu Scramble looked great and I also use black 🧂 (Kala Namak) for the sulfur or egg smell. Amy’s vegan breakfast sausage links are pretty good. I get them at Whole Foods. Morning Star tastes better, but it’s not vegan.

January is a great time to try WFPB diet, it can help take off holiday pounds and introduce people to how good eating veggies can feel. Even if they don’t stay on veggie diet they might end up enjoying more veggies and less animal products. Forks over knives has a 21 day challenge starting Saturday. There is still time to jump in.

Happy New Year/Decade to u! Well done. Thx for sharing ur NYE with us! Jasmine: I so love ur jacket! Chris: I am so with u on the shrooms! When they get a funk, I just wash them under cool water, and they are fine. I can’t quite get why non vegans seem so crazy about produce that doesn’t look picture perfect. It is still all good (to a certain point, sure). For the New Year, I have a few requests (which, as a loyal follower, I hope I can throw at u)😊. Would u please do a vegan pizza taste test/Mukbang? (I was the one who asked u if u have a Mellow Mushroom pizza place near u. Soooo vegan and allergic friendly...) Also, would you please do a winter soup/stew demo? I would love to see what food, warming stuff y’all could come up with. I am sure that would be awesome! Finally, I am so confused! I know this may be boring AF, but could y’all do a segment on food dyes? I know some folks are allergic to them and some kids have nasty reactions when they eat them, but I also want to know what the hell is in them? Are they vegan? Are they just nasty toxins? Dunno... I rarely cook with them, but sometimes when u have to color something... U know... That would be great! Please keep on keeping on with your awesomeness! XO

Would you be willing to share why you prefer to use water or broth compared to oil? I want to learn more about it!
@erykasr15 жыл бұрын
Just less fat
@doloreserin5 жыл бұрын
Mattison Hone I'm not nearly as cool as Jasmine or Chris, but I usually saute my veggies in broth or water. I used to use oil for everything, but it coats the taste buds. It is also 120 calories a tablespoon. I noticed once I stopped using it, I could actually taste the flavors of the food better. I also lived in a household where they used olive oil for everything, so I think I was just tired of it as well. I hope that helps, that's my experience anyway. Dolores

Seems like you guys are avoiding oil, I’m practically oil-free 90% of the time in cooking because I found out it was bad for you. If you guys want the lowest saturated fat oil I use algae oil for special occasions (target,Walmart,Whole Foods). Happy years, the food looked amazing.

That nasty egg stuff. It's much better as far as texture and I only know this with my eyes because I've never eaten eggs I hate them I've never eaten animal products so I don't crave these analogues but I am a chef. So when using that let it sit on the heat for a little bit and then give it like a nice turn and it will start breaking up later but stirring it in and making it a paste around the food is kind of nasty. Sorry I don't mean to be critical because if somebody is being vegan I'm just thrilled. But if you were to be feeding that to company it would be best added almost last before the spinach and you just pour it in and let it sit for a second and get some texture and then flip it in pieces and let it get some texture flip it texture. In fact the texture of food can make it or break it you know that. You guys have a great New Year I'm glad they're young people like you for the younger people out there that are doing this. And that you are actually dedicated to it and it's not just a phase or an eating disorder that's going to change down the road and confuse people and make people think that vegan start eating dead animals. Again the happiest of New Years! I'm not being critical I just have a way of cooking. And when you're cooking for a thousand people you got a lot of criticism one way or the other. And I know that anybody I cook for would not pay for that. Just because of the texture. I'm sure it was quite edible for us folks. Are regular.
