1. A bit bulky - hard on the wrist over time for some. 2. Can't hold all its tools. 3. Hose is a little short. 4. Some owners say the brushroll DOES get tangled. 5. Not as quiet as hoped. 6. Not as good at edge cleaning as other Sharks.

You may get that reach with the Dyson hose when the machine is off. When it is on, the hose sucks back in on itself from the power of the suction of the machine so the hose is really not any longer than the Shark Apex reach.

Could you please tell us which vaccuum is the best or your top 3 of All vacuums please.
@KeeblurD5 жыл бұрын
So just a few thoughts. Do you think the Shark made the hose shorter on purposes because it offers lift away mode and wants to make it so you're not tripping over your hose while in lift away mode? Then some people complain the bin capacity is too small. But these are the people that would complain that if the bin was bigger, the vacuum would be too heavy or it would be too bulky while using a larger bin in lift away mode. Everything comes with some type of sacrifice. If you want a large capacity vacuum, get something that has a long hose and no lift away feature.

Regarding noise, the Apex has a 1350W motor and is going to be louder than the 752s 1150W motor. The noise reduction technology helps. Suction is great on the Apex due to the larger motor.

When it comes to the hose length you do have to remember that it's a powerd hose so the more length you add the more weight you add. Also it will be harder to store that extra length of hose.

It is interesting that Shark sent you a vacuum for free to review. I purchased this vacuum in December, but have actually only been able to use it for 3 full months due to a bad connection (that they replaced at no charge but it took over 10 weeks to receive the part). Within 2 weeks of having the new wand, where the bad connection was, the roller stopped rolling. Called again and now they say it will be $89 for the part. I own other Sharks and loved all of them, but all the parts that I’ve needed are on back order for this APEX, when I’ve never needed to fix my other Sharks. The biggest problem here is that I shouldn’t NEED new parts on a vacuum less than a year old. Seems that they have too many intricate parts, and it’s just been unreliable, which is a shame, because I really liked this vacuum when it did work.

Getting the canister Shark makes for this and several other models overcomes the tipping problem--the canister just rolls with you. It's about $50 and one came with my machine, but I would have bought it if it hadn't. I was spoiled by the UV795, which also came with a caddy and also has a light on the handle.

Hmmm, my pet tool doesn't swivel and doesn't fit on either of the two locations. Must of changed the shipped tools with 2023 model. I have one very long hair Siberian Husky and one normal length hair husky. I had to clean the brush rollers myself from the long haired husky. (good 4 -6 inch fine hairs). The vacuum does really clean hardwood floors and carpet from the dog hair and dirt, so it does clean really well. I have to empty the bin after cleaning 3 rooms after I vacuumed earlier with a cordless vacuum. Yes my huskies are just started the shedding season too. I did find the unit heavy when turned side to side and I guess that I will get used to it in time. Love the lights and ease of emptying the bin but wish the hose was twice as long as it is. But I will keep the unit as it does a really great job of cleaning husky hairs up.

I bought one. I'm returning it. While I love the versatility and suction and the anti-hair wrap feature but other issues are just too big for me to work around. I am left handed and I keep getting everything twisted up. I am short and I find this thing more tiring to maneuver than my older heavier vacuum. The cord is oddly stiff and doesn't "swish" out of the way at all. The hose is too short, even for a shorter woman like myself. In lift-away mode it seems I have constant tension on it. The wand is too long, heavy, awkward and the crevice tool actually has quite a wide opening making it not very small crevice friendly. It doesn't grab the cobwebs from my ceiling without taking the popcorn finish as well. Many of these issues you included in your review. I may simply not be a shark person but I loved my Mom's older model. Any budget vacuum suggestions for a short lefty with 3 flights of carpeted stairs, a dog, and a lot of area rugs that include a hepa filter?

I currently own a navigator from target (4 yrs old) and while I love it- I want the zero M and dual clean….I also have 3 flights (1 dog and 5 young kiddos) I’m thinking I might go with one from Costco uV700, looks similar to my current model with the upgraded agitation system….and 3 lbs lighter than this one…did you find one you like @Pauline Wallace?

🤪 LOL ... I play tennis so the wrist issue isn’t a problem. Think of vacuuming as a 15 minute workout and your good to go. And what ever age you’re at, it’s a good thing. Extra tool and no place for it ..??? Put it in you back pocket. Edge cleaning... is it a big deal?? Compared to hair clogging up the roller, a very minor issue. Noise level ...? Wear ear plugs. Hose not reaching as far as the moon ...?? Not an issue for me. I AM SOLD ON on this baby! Thanks for an in-depth review.

Let’s not forget the constant wheels breaking which can’t be replaced and other weak points that are being reported as breaking when changing from the stop position to the in-use position. Still Shark fails to address this and send replacements for a continuous failing vacuum. Not to mention the shortened warranty after part replacement. Sure don’t build them like they use to.

I bought this vacuum and it sucked. The motorized pet tool didn't work right from the beginning. It kept getting stuck and jamming. (My Dirt Devil hand held never did that.) It was too heavy, toppled over a lot. Hard to maneuver with the swivel and the majority of weight on the stem. Also the roller kept popping off. AND it died in less than 2 years. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Would make more sense to do a full review video including pros and cons rather than the viewer trying to find both videos done separately. Also, might recommend either a better microphone during vacuuming segments, or perhaps editing the volume down. A fair amount of distortion in the mic there. It's very hard on the ears.

The duo rollers are trash. Had mine make a nasty grinding noise and stop spinning. Called shark because it has a “5 year warranty” and found out that only means the literal vacuum motor is warranted and nothing else and they wanted to charge me $100 for a new brush head. Went on social media and bashed them to no end, they ended up emailing me saying they will send one for free as a “customer service gesture”

In your last video where you were discussing the pros of the same machine, the twist and steer feature of this vacuum was something you liked a lot. You said it does not take much to steer this thing. You don't have to unnecessary balance your review if you don't have to because you sound fake doing the whole thing.
@katie-patbowman73694 жыл бұрын
I just bought this vacuum and used it for the first time today. After watching the "pro" video, I was able to somewhat use the wrist motion for steering per his example, which other vacuums don't have. It was a nice feature, but it does tire out the wrist, so I see why he rated it both a pro and a con.

I bought this unit from Bed Bath and Beyond and it did not come with the motorized tool. The display model has it but two different vacuums did not. I contacted Shark and they offered to sell me the motorized attachment at 1/2 the price!!! That is some BS!!!!! Not impressed with the Shark company!!!!

You should not be spreading unverified anecdotal "problems" from others that YOU did not experience. You claim the Apex is so heavy while at the same time showing Dysons that are significantly heavier. Overall, I did not see any "dislikes" that I would call a dealbreaker.
