Oh my goodness, Kristin have you ever tried cooking bacon in the oven? You put it on a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and put it in the oven on 400 degrees for 15 minutes and then flip it and put it in the oven for 9 minutes. It is so easy and not as messy.
