Made in germany, using actual locomotive paint and colors for their models, with moving parts on the driver's zone and the most accurate technology and details. I love this locker, my husband and I went in train rides all over the United states and we both had model train collections, my husband's grandfather worked for the railroad here in Pennsylvania. The emotional attachment was brought totally back to life today! I can just imagine this man making every decision on what to buy for his dream vision! The contents of this locker just gives us a glimpse of what he had in mind! I am truly thankful that his dream fell into yours and your families hands! The irony of all this since it it coming to an end is though the original owner didn't quite realize his dreams while he was alive, getting it in your families hands to share with the world did just that. We have a big 48" plasma TV. They are friggin' heavy; ours weighs about 300lbs. Uses the same sort of stand. This is basically because a plasma TV is akin to a tiny little CRT for each pixel, electronically... with all the tiny little electromagnetic coils and wires. Add it all together, along with the heavy metal framework, and they get heavy fast. They also burn a ton of electricity (ours cost about $2 an hour just "idling" with no signal input but powered on), which is why California banned selling them a bit more than decade ago, not to mention being expensive to manufacture - which is why nobody makes them anymore. But for sheer visibility at any angle in full HD, they can't be beat. We're going to drive ours into the dirt before replacing it, that's for sure.
