One thing I will say about the Bolton game is Barnsley tried constricting the field by playing an incredibly high line, making it almost impossible to play through the midfield because of the lack of space (especially given the quality of Barnsley's midfield). Evatt combatted that with aimed long balls into the channels, presumably to pull their full backs out of position and isolate their CBs. Playing down the sides like this was a masterstroke from Evatt imo. The first goal came from playing down the wing and the second one came from one of those long balls being mishandled by the Barnsley defender, resulting in the penalty. It was nice to finally see Evatt do something different.

I am a posh supporter since I went to my first game in 1960. I agree with you Jack, why leave JCH on the bench? Mothersille ins a good player, and Jones is a bullet, however lacking JCH skills in putting the ball in the net. JCH is a born goalscorer, with an inbuilt radar of where the back of the net is
