This video gave me such a lift Ms, Lori. We are late with everything because we spent two months just being with my mother through her last days. Now it's time to put sadness away and honour her memory with the flowers and sweet smelling herbs she loved so much. I love everything about your channel. You and Mr. Brown always make me smile. Sending thanks to you both from Wales.

Dried lavender flowers in chicken salad is awesome! include fresh finely diced fennel ribs (in place of celery), apples, sweet pickle relish, onions, pecans, and fresh ground nutmeg. Substitute the mayo with a 50/50 cream cheese/sour cream mixture. chill well before serving. When cooking the chicken, add dried Lavender flowers and fennel seeds plus add a heaping teaspoon of the dried lavender flowers into the salad. pretty and tastes wonderful!

FYI, Both valerian root and Catnip smell and taste awful but are good for a sleep tea. Other relaxing herbs are lemon balm, chamomile flowers and lavender flowers. I added these to my tea blend. And then for good measure I added spearmint and licorice root. It's a nice tea blend now and it does work.

Love the hostas-( my phone spell checks it that’s why it came out the way it did ! ) the word!they are going to be great ! So it sounds like you’re going to use reg. board rather than the new stuff on your new deck - they say it lasts forever & no maintenance which is the great part - we used it at the cabin - my husband was happy he didn’t have to every year water proof it .Works well - might be a little bit more expensive. Yes ! Come home Mr. Brown we miss u . But I think u might be in my neck of the woods ( Colorado). Well - all the best for ya’ll ❤❤❤ & Prayers

Beautiful gardens, Mrs Lori!! Thank you for the tour! ❤ Our daughter named her new (1st) baby - now 8 weeks old - Zinnia Mercy. I wish I could share the beautiful letter she wrote as to why they chose to name her that! I won’t do it justice, but, besides it being our daughter’s favorite flower, she likened it to how the petals are soft, vibrant and sturdy. They have a strong hold on the stem, their source of life and nutrients. Their prayer is that Zinnia is like the petals, clinging to Jesus, our Source of life. The letter continued and was absolutely beautiful. Enjoy those zinnias!! ❤

I wish I lived in the woods like you. You live in paradise. And all that yard and woods for you to plant stuff. You are living in my dream home. The birds and bugs are making the most soothing noises. 😌

I love purslane. I have a garden path right now that's filling up with it. I'm so excited! I like to add it to my tortellini sausage soup. It's not the same without it. I also put it in pesto with dandelion greens
