As someone who has been over the road for 5 years at 23 years old- I can’t go smaller than a 45’ diesel pusher.. I love the dishwasher, washer dryer stacker units… I love the big tanks… and the living space in the front with the bedroom in the back. We also have to have a bath and a half as we have found it’s amazing! So needless to say- I am spoiled also!

My wife and I recently sold our home and started our full time adventure. We work remotely and try to move every 1 to two weeks. We currently have a 2024 Grand Surveyor 267RBSS travel trailer. At 31’ long, we haven’t had issues finding sites that work. We tow it with a 2023 Ram 2500 diesel. We have a cap on the truck as I would feel naked without a good variety of tools. Pros of our set up include maneuverability, we like the layout of the trailer. We have not found ourselves lacking for anything. We did downsize A LOT but less is more for us. Ive made many mods on our rig to make it better for us. Cons, we have had things break on the trailer. I have fixed all of them and made them stronger than before. We wish we had gotten a trailer with a higher payload. We don’t feel lacking but we do try to get rid of something if we buy something new to keep the weight in check. We always love your videos. We hope ours improve over time and offer inspiration and help to others as they follow their dreams.

We are driving a Winnebago 24 ft.View with the corner bed. We are 1/2 time and have 77,000 miles on it. We have been to Alaska on one coast and PEI on the other coast. We never stay more than 3 days anywhere so we move fast. Our 24 ft works for us because we can park pretty much anywhere like you said. We do not have a toad and have rented a car in the Keys and San Antonio. Also we have used Uber. We do carry bikes with us. I am an early riser and just pull the curtain on the corner bed to have separation. We do a lot of dry camping and have never had issues with our tanks. Parking at trail heads can be a problem but we arrive very early to park and then have our breakfast. I would love a washer and dryer. If I were full time I can imagine I would want more space. Ours works for the 6-7 months a year we are in it. We really enjoy your videos. Here so

We have a class A Allegro Openroad 28'. It has an awesome floor plan, separate sleeping area with walk around bed, separate shower, toilet/bathroom. Don't miss the waher/dryer, prefer to have that space for storage. The length makes it easier to find camp sites and also "stealth camp" to some degree. We do have a toad so mobility once set up is not an issue.

We - hubby and I and two dogs - went from a 21 foot travel trailer to a 28 foot Class C motorhome with the Jeep towed behind. The Class C allows me to take my kitchen with me, but is small enough to fit into some of the older, smaller state parks that we love. No washer or drier - not an issue. Finding a gas station that we can maneuver into and out of - sometimes an issue. In fact, we have some stories to share about gas stations! Just let me say this - I love "adventures" - hubby doesn't! Full-timing RVers now for 7 years - hoping for many more. From a couple married 58 years and hoping for many more.

Great info...as always. My wife and I are not full-timers (we did that years ago aboard our sailing vessel, Pacific Dream). Land yachting was never in our plans. But when one of my doctors asked if he could put me on two more meds in addition to the two he already prescribed, I balked. Instead, I told him that Judy and I would buy one large pill bottle, roll it down the road until my lungs got happy and park it there. Hence, land yachting entered our life. Our vessel of choice is a 40-foot Beaver Monterey, Class A that we absolutely love. We don't travel far - the Oregon Coast - a mere four-hour drive from our Central Oregon home, where we spend two to three months a year, and indulge my fascination for nature photography. (Nope, I don't sell my work, but I do put on the occasional show). What do we like about the Beav? Space, room separation, ease of living, travel comfort, storage and exquisite workmanship. Would we consider down-sizing? No. Our style of RVing doesn't require finding places that can accommodate our rig. In fact, we pretty much stay at the same resort. Boring? Not at all! Hey, when our original RV (double-headed sloop) blazed along at a brisk 6-knots, all we had to find was a place to drop the hook. Now we park on a concrete pad trimmed with a beautiful privet hedge. The Beav is our second home. Thanks for all you do to make RVing the fascinating lifestyle it is. Well done!

After a lifetime of RV adventures (since I was 5 years old), we finally have the perfect RV for us. It's a Coach House 271, just under 28 feet. #1 I can drive it so my husband isn't doing all the driving. #2 It has permanent twin beds in the rear which is enough separation for us. #3 Well built, fiberglass shell means more worry free travel. It is smaller than we've had in the past but we figured it out, bought a Maverick to haul and we put larger items in the truck bed. And like moving from a house to an RV, once you figure out what you really need, you don't miss all the other stuff.

We just went from a 2019 Tiffin Wayfarer TW to a 2022 Tiffin 36SH. The main reason is that my wife works and we are on different sleep schedules. She would set up her computer and monitor in the bedroom and take it down and set it up in the salon and take it down. That really got old. The nice thing on the Wayfarer was the twin beds that can be made into a king. The "separation" thing is important. We live in Bozeman and the RV is parked in our driveway all summer, as there's no better place to be. We leave in September or October and go out for 3 months, store it in Texas or AZ and drive the pickup home. We then go out in February for 2 - 3 months and bring it home to BZN. We get along just fine, but having alittle space is a good thing. With the 36SH she can just leave her stuff set up when we're parked and not have to worr about it. We've only been on one trip and that was bringing it home from Mesa, AZ. The first "real" trip starts next Wednesday, 9/25/24, with a 3 month adventure. Using the washer and dryer will be an experience.

I have a 2003 Fleetwood 39’ 4-slide Diesel pusher. We’ve had it for 7 yrs and we are selling, although it is a beautiful RV and is sooo spacious we are looking for something smaller, the laundry machine is wonderful and if we still went for long periods I’d say absolutely worth having, just for the convenience, We only go occasionally and really it’s just the 2 of us. So for the sake of weekend camping we are looking for a simple trailer 25’ to pull with our truck. It’ll be an adjustment, we’ve had a Class C and now an A and we are used to just popping up to use the bathroom or getting a snack, lol. But I truly have enjoyed having my Diesel pusher. So much luxury.

We bought a Winnebago 2024 D a year ago. For 7 years prior we had a 35’ 5th wheel. We travel for 3-4 months straight in the summer every year. We definitely had to take a lot less “stuff”, but we loved it. So easy to drive, park, find campsites, and fuel. Almost 70 years old, so expect we will have this unit till we have to quit RVing….which we hope will be another 10 years….

Last year, we downsized from a Newmar Bay Star (gasser, 33', no washer/dryer) to a 2015 Winnebago Via (25' class A on Springer chassis) that is very similar to a lot of the Views with rear twin beds and a small (sofa) slide-out right behind the captain's chairs. We loved the size of our Bay Star, but as I'm no longer 73, I was ready to downsize to a rig that is more comfortable to drive, especially in construction zones and a bit more fuel efficient. We don't do as many longer trips anymore, so most of our trips our from 3 nights to a week or so, and hopefully we'll take some longer trips if some health issues allow. Bottom line, we've adapted and are enjoying the Via. Towing a car, we get 12-14 mpg and as you mentioned, it's so easy to find a campsite. We usually have full hook-ups, but we just did two nights with only electric and we made out fine. But, I totally agree that what size and type of rig works for one camper doesn't work for others. Having RVing since 1988, the most important point is to enjoy whatever rig you can afford and just make some memories. Our best memories are camping with our boys in pop-up trailers. We didn't have much space or many amenities, but we did some exploring and had so much fun and on a "beer budget"!

Hi - we have been full time in our Tiffin 2019 Open Road 38’ gas model LA36 for 6 years now. We have enjoyed our motorhome and I know we couldn’t be full time in a smaller rig. I agree, the larger coach wins out by far. After 7.5 years full timing in a Dutch Star 43’ coach we built a house, sold the 43' Diesel Pusher and moved on. One year later we decided that a 24' Murphy Bed coach would be fun. We did a trip from Southeast Florida to Northwest Oregon and back over the summer of 2023. The fun was short lived. We now have a 40' Dutch Star Diesel pusher. The use of the Open Roads App is limited with 24-gallon fuel tank. Even at 12 mpg it means in a 350-mile day, which I like to drive, two stops for fuel are needed, aggravating and time consuming. Also, some time we could save 20 cents more per gallon if we could only go 50 miles more but that could not happen. Washer and dryer are important. 45-gal black tank and 65 gray are important. 105-gallons of fresh water is important. With 50 amp you don’t worry about shedding the loads. Three A/C’s, Oasis water heater, floor heat, microwave, Induction cook top and coffee maker all work at the same time. The ride in a Dutch Star is quite and the air bags make it smooth. Some of the newer systems you were talking about are in most new Diesel pushers. It isn’t fair to compare a nine year old coach with a new coach of any size.

We are on the other end of the spectrum with a 12 foot travel trailer! It only has a 9 foot floor. We aren't full timers, but spend about six months on the road. Love that we don't need a big tow vehicle and are very manurvalble. It has most everything we need, table that converts to a queen size bed, bunk bed, bathroom, clothes closet. kitchen with large counter, sink , stove, refrigerator. Only disadvantage is having to put the table up every day, but only takes about a minute. We have been from Key West Florida to Alaska and the Artic Ocean. Don't see getting anything different at the point, it works for us!

We are in a 37' 2013 Thor Palazzo 36.1. A must have for my wife was the bath and a half. It has it's advantages and disadvantages, mainly two different black tanks. We love our Splendide washer and dryer. We did have to adjust to doing smaller loads, and doing laundry multiple days of the week, but it didn't take long to adjust. A huge like for both of us is the full length slide which really opens up floor space in the coach. The downside to the full length slide is the weak Schwintek slide system which we had to replace after a year and a half. The positive side of that repair is we were able to get the heavy duty Vroom system and have had no problems since. A downside to our model with the second half bath is it cost counter space in the kitchen, but we bought a small butcher block top table that sits up in the kitchen area and folds flat to store for travel. We have been full time pretty much since December of '23 but do have a lot to use as home base with full hookups. We can't imagine going down to a Class C in size, and are very satisfied with our Palazzo.

Over all we really love our Tiffin 😃

I've been on the road fulltime in my 24' rv for almost 6 yrs. It's my 1st rv & I researched for 2 yrs before I bought it. I sometimes think about actually going a bit smaller but I don't want to have to assemble my eating/ sleeping area every day & I dont want to give up the dry bath. It's also gas & fits my budget. I also believe that the more space you have, the more you fill it with stuff you may only use 1-2xs a year. I don't keep things -other than tools or spare spare parts- that I don't use on a pretty regular basis. May not have a dishwasher or washer & dryer, but the dang thing has tvs on inside & out, showers inside & out, air-conditioning, heat, and large windows on all 4 sides. One of the 1st things I removed was the huge convection microwave. It only ran if plugged in or the generator running. It was also above the frig so being 5'3" I literally needed a step stool to make sure I didn't spill hot food over my head when retrieving it. The 2nd thing I removed-which may sound unusual-was all those big, wooden, upholstered window valances. Had no clue how much they weighed, but removing them opened up the light & view tremendously! 1st thing everyone says when they enter my rig is how BIG it is! The open windows & lack of cluttrer makes this small rig seem much bigger than it is. I don't think I'm getting rid of this 8yo rig anytime soon.

My wife and me looked for literally 2 years before we bought our first travel trailer. We had made a list of our must haves, etc. After having it for 2 years we decided that we needed something with a little more room. We now have a fifth wheel and have been living in it full time for the last 2 1/2 years. So your right you may think you know what you want, but until you actually get in it and use it for a while, your wants and don’t wants will change. We are very happy with our fifth wheel now.

Have made 2 , 7 wk long trips crossing the country & loved our gas milage, easy parking, boon docking & I can drive as well to give hubby a break. Instead of towing a vehicle, we just rent when we want to tour around in an area more when parked for a wk. Now all this said, we've been talking about upgrading to a bit more space, maybe 28' - 30' and trying to decide whether a TT or 5th wheel. We would love a w/d, recliners & we want to keep separate space as my hubby sleeps longer as well.. We love the portability and ease of setup in a 24' (ish), but we love having a defined "bedroom" and living area, as well as some distance between kitchen and bathroom. We downsized from a Winnebago Sunstar 29V (30 feet) to a View 24D (25.6feet). We love the 24D. We lost the private bedroom, but the floorplan has a nice space separation where someone could go to bed early or sleep late and the other person can use a big U-shaped dinette and the turn around chairs. There is so much light because no major windows are blocked by the bed. There are privacy curtains that can be hung if you need to. Our grandchildren use the dinete and loft for sleeping. There is more than the usual counter space and great windows over the kitchen counter to enjoy the outdoors. The kitchen has a double sink. We had to downsize our "stuff", but found pleanty of storage space in a pantry, kitchen drawers, a hanging closet and space under all the dinette cushions. The refrig is bigger than the one in the Sunstar. I like that the bathroom is at the back of the unit. We can both drive it and easy to get in and out of just about anywhere. Love the better gas mileage. We are not fulltimes, and for us, we think the 24D floorplan is perfect even for a month long trip.

Instant hot water, 2 refillable 20 lb propane tanks, second alternator under hood to change batteries, so don't need to plug in or need generator. Beds are very comfortable. I started with a 27 foot Class C (I am solo with 2, soon to be 3) small dogs. I learned pretty quickly it was the wrong floor plan for me. It had a corner kitchen and was dark and the bedroom had a slide with a folded mattress which was terrible for dry camping at Cracker Barrel or wherever I spent a night during travel days. I kept it 2 years and in May of this year, found the perfect floor plan for me. I was choosing between a rig 27 feet with a Murphy bed, good closets and a washer/dryer and a 33 foot with an inline kitchen, televator, huge kitchen counter space, power recliners, N/S bed with fantastic closet space and a split bath. The bedroom slide is a closet. With the big slide out in front, it feels more like a cottage than an rv. This is the perfect floor plan for me. I travel about 6 months of the year.

2023 Tiffin Allegro Bay 38AB. Ideal for us. We loved the layout. Your video on this unit was when we saw it first and began learning more about it. We had thought Class A before but we liked several things about this one. The living space was big. The dual workstation spots in place of the dinette, since we both work. 3 doors so we don’t lock ourselves out, or in, as we hear about online so much. Towing 12,000 pounds was a plus for us. Slightly more aerodynamic than a Class A. And a biggie is roadside serviceability if needed. We look at other rigs all the time just out of curiosity but we have not found one at any price point that beats our floor plans for us! Very glad you shared that early video of the Allegro Bay, even though you didn’t seem to love it yourselves.

It is so easy to set up, park and can just about go anywhere. I call it my "motel on wheels". For me, it is the perfect size. Having to deal with a larger RV at my age would not be easy and I feel very comfortable with the Wayfarer. Being 78, and still able to travel is very important to me. Have had several Itasca's over the years, but the Wayfarer had all I needed. Just hard learning all the bells and whistles is sometimes daunting. I do think the 3500 MB chassic on many smaller RV's is a plus. My attitude is, the things inside can break, but as long as the engine gets me where I need to be is a comfort.

I think that’s a steering stabilizer. It going over anything on the highway. It doesn’t seem to absorb any bumps. It jolts the whole RV and ourselves and all our belongs as well as making a terrible racket.

We had something else put on but my husband isn’t here for me to ask. You can call safe T Plus in Georgia and they can tell you want you might need. We called them before we went. We are happy with our ride and steering.

Love your videos. You're always great. I love your comment at the very end (What is the perfect RV size). My wife and I started rving full-time in 2019. I'm an retired automotive engineer for The Big Three and she is a travel nurse. I've been asked what is the best RV many times. And and I always tell them the perfect RV is the one that works for you. Enjoy your videos. Please keep sharing.

Our ideal size is our Grech Terreno AWD iOn Class B Van. Yes, it doesn't have the space to carry everything we own, but enough space for a very comfortable set of clothes, dishes, utensils and food. I have had two towables before this and got to spend a summer vacation with my brother in his Class A. There is no comparison to the agility, park-ability, fuel economy of my Class B to a Class A. But as you very well stated, this van is the best size for us and not necessarily for someone else. I might be traveling solo for some periods and the simplicity of the van fits that lifestyle to a T.

We are in a 06 Newmar Kountry Star 3909 DP. We definitively love our home, I am still working full time as a programmer and when we were looking a few years ago(2022) post covid, here in Québec, the availability was very low. We were looking for a 43-45 foot to get kind of like a separate space for work. Need less distraction when working. But we absolutely love this one and not looking to change short term.

We also have a Tiffin 33aa, 2019. YES - we love our washer and dryer! When we first bought the Moose (our Tiffin), lightly used, we thought the WD was a nice indulgence. Now, it has become a wonderful convenience and a necessity to us for long term travel. It does feel like home, that is the most important thing - we are very comfortable in it. 35' is actually a good maximum length for easily finding campsites. We've never had a problem, though we do plan ahead. We had looked at a lot of RV's before purchasing this one. A Tiffin is a major investment, so once we narrowed in on the model we wanted, we began looking at features. We stalked good dealers nationwide who carried them and got just what we wanted - in a state 3,000 miles away, so also got a crash course in driving it, LOL. We really love it as much as our brick and mortar. (Before this we had a truck and fifth wheel, before that a truck and camper.) We hook up in 5 minutes, unhook in less than a minute with Roadmaster towing.) I do drive the Tiffin as well. Now - we are middle aged, and in the future we might downsize if it becomes more rig than we want to handle. Will that ever happen? We'll see. I'd say, if you're narrowing down what you want, spend some time in it. Does it feel like home? This will be less important if you go on short trips, rather than 3 month long trips. Truly, there is an option for everyone! My daughter loves her small Sprinter van.

We have a Winnebago View 2020V and love it. We are not full time RVers so this size is great for us. We really chose the V for the twin beds in the back. Our dog loves the middle part. We like that the beds are separate from the living space.

We currently have a Winnebago 27’ Travel Trailer and are considering a Winnebago View/Navion. We love the ability to unhook and go with our tow vehicle but as we age something a bit easier to drive is on our radar. Tank sizes are very similar to our current ones so no issue there. We don’t live in ours so the separation has never been an issue. But having a sole driver definitely is an issue. Thanks for a great review! Oh, and let’s not forget Camp Winnebago ❤

Thanks for the review. We are still in our Grand Design MKE17 TT. It works well when the Murphy bed is folded up against the front bulkhead. Separation is achieved when I go outside the trailer. Good for now for the two of us with two small dogs.

We have a 2022 Forest River Georgetown GT7 (36K7). This motorhome is 40 foot long and as you guys have indicated we bought for the floor plan. We have kids and bought this with the intention of them going with us more. They are a little older and don’t really travel with us as much as we would have thought. As it turns out we use the bunk area as extra storage and put our dog crate in there. It has been working out wonderful. We are not full time (at this moment), although we would like to be in it more than we are now. Like you guys, we like to have the door to the master bedroom as I am working full time and need to get up earlier too. We didn’t realize how much we like the 2 full baths (even though the second shower is a bit much). You give great advice when you say to try things out and look for the floor plan that works best for your needs. There seems to be a lot of people that won’t look at this brand or that brand because of the ‘issues’ they have had. Well, the truth of the matter is they are all RVs and you will run into something with every brand. Pick something that works for YOU! Phil, I am totally with you on the TECH… I love the fact that I can operate my slides from my phone. It is so nice during setup and breakdown. Let along monitor the tanks from anywhere (near) the motorhome. :). Enjoyed the video and you guys, if you are looking for something new I hope you find it!

We are not full-timers. We ventured into RVing in 2020 by purchasing a well-cared-for 2000 Four Winds Chateau 31S (32 ft) from a family member. The dinette had been removed to make room for a recliner. That works quite well for us, though we do miss having a table at times. For our purposes this one-slide Class C is fine for short trips, but, since we use it primarily for going to New England for two months in the summer, we find it gets to feeling a bit cozy after a few weeks, especially since our 85 lb Lab takes up a lot of floor space. We are contemplating upgrading to a used Tiffin Allegro Open Road 34TGA (just under 35 ft, gas). It has opposing slides in the living room/kitchen, which makes the area very spacious. The problem we’re facing with RVing is finding someone reliable, skilled and affordable here in middle TN to work on the rig. We are no longer able to do much of the work ourselves. It makes us question whether we want to own an RV at all. Does anyone else have this problem???

Fulltime since 2017 in a 2016 Thor Axis 25.2 towing a 2016 Ford Fiesta. I was solo 4 years now married & have the same RV. Perfect 25 feet, rear slide only for bed. We can park almost anywhere including friend’s driveways. We do laundry every 2 weeks at a laundromat- in & out with everything folded in less than 2 hours. Perfect size - really the more room you have, the more junk you accumulate. No cons.

I have a Winnebago 2024 24V and feel like it is the perfect RV for me. It is just me and a 20lb dog. The V floor plan has the twin beds (convertible to a king) in the back, so it has separate living and sleeping spaces. I like that I don’t have to put the slide out unless I just want the extra space in the living area. I have the rig since July , upgrading from a 19’ trailer. The ease of set up is amazing. Park, set the brake, push the auto level button, the hook up to power and water. I like easy, and this is easy.

1) Our friends with a motor home complain about all the dishes and such rattling around on travel days. 2) In Michigan with our TT we pay once for a lifetime plate for trailers. Our friends pay yearly for their MH. 3) We are looking at upgrading to a 5th wheel in the next three years and were considering something under 30 feet. That we have decided won't work for us as we do want a couch and the ability for grandkids to join us so sleeping arrangements are needed. 4) Most likely we are looking at 34-37 feet and are leaning towards an Alliance as we want to travel the US and Canada. So we are looking at a better constructed 5th wheel that won't break the bank as we prepare for retirement. 5) I do wake up before the wife so separation of area is needed. We haven't decided if laundry onboard is necessary yet? 6)Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

We are nearing the end of seven years in a 22’ Airstream Bambi. Three winters we lived in it for 4.5 months while we work/camped. We love it. If cost was no issue, we would go up to a 25’. But, there are pluses and minuses of both size (still small by Ruby measures). We like that it is so tiny we can fit almost anywhere. It is easy to tow. We are not working in our RV so we don’t need space for computers and other work equipment. Airstream does have models that are larger with a designated workspace. Pros: quality, iconic design, excellent resale value, good storage for the size, nice small kitchen area and full bath. Cons: I wouldn’t recommend for people with very different schedules (again there are larger models with more division of space), no room for Phil’s recliner, the refrigerator is tiny which makes long term living more difficult and a trip to the grocery store at least once a week, no space for guests, repairs are a little more challenging as there are not as many RV service centers that work on Airstreams. All in all I wouldn’t trade it, except for maybe the 25’.

Have had our 1998 national sea breeze since 2016. We are vacation rvers. Very little that we really don't like. Have discussed changing but the idea of getting something that may have a whole set of problems is daunting. Her build quality and obvious care/maintenance for her first 17 years is my favorite. We have kept up her care too. No washer dryer and haven't missed them. We did buy a portable washer with spin and that has worked perfectly on the few occasions we really needed to wash. W ethink she's such a good one, we spent $6k to replace her roof in 2021. Just can't part with her yet.😊 She's been great.

Currently driving an 2018 Isata 5, 35DB. This is a bunk model, but we removed the lower bunk and custom built a dog pin for our fur babies. The unit works very well for the two of us and we look forward to living in it full time next year. Biggest pro is that it is built on a Ram 5500 chassis, so it has plenty of power. Con, I would say is the cargo capacity. Dynamax built this model too heavy, so by the time will hook up the trailer and add clothes and groceries, we are already over-loaded. You guys are awesome and I look forward to meeting you both. Hey Phil, go Army!

Love our 2006 Bigfoot 29G- at 30ft we fit in many places, with a walk around rear bedroom and garage which could hold a golf cart. Well built, but easy to work on. Plenty of separation which we need, carry a small washer/spinner for clothes. We boondock with ease and bikes are secure in garage. It was worth the extra feet to move up from 24ft 2017 Rev with no separation.

We have a 40 ft. 2008 Allegro Bus. We love it! It's a one bedroom condo on wheels. We started with a smaller gasser, but this one checks off all our boxes. As for laundry....our first one did not have a washer/dryer. I did that for 2 years. Our bus has a washer/dryer and it is a must have. Laundromats are generally not my happy place! ICK! Room separation is important to us also. I don't see us doing anything different until we settle down. Full timers for 7 years now. Thanks for your input on a smaller rig!

We've been RV ing for 40 plus years. Started in a Been up to a 42 foot Renegade Super C. We've since downsized to a Forest River 2015 Berkshire XL. WE got it in 2018 . Right now its going to be our permanent RV. Once I retire next year we hope to do a few more 2 and 3 week trips each year. Not looking to full time. We pull a 20 foot car trailer with our full sized pickup or our Chevy Traverse on it. The length of 41 foot plus a trailer hasn't been an issue when finding campgrounds. One thing I am considering is getting a Vatrer lithium phosphate battery to replace the AGM batteries once they go bad.

We would have the same two issues you had - no washer and dryer and no division of space. We sold, unfortunately, our towable. While space, washer/ dryer were perfect, we were stuck due to care for my elderly mother and we were just paying storage. Hubby hated towing it! We didn’t have it long enough for me to get the courage to try. I would like to try again with a drivable, hubby doesn’t seem to be interested in. 😞. Love your videos. We started (over 40 years ago) with a 19 foot Holiday Rambler Class "C", moved to a 27 foot HR Class "C", and retired to a 38 foot HR Class "A", diesel pusher. In that we work-kamped and traveled the country traveling to Alaska and every state except Hawaii. Each RV was perfect for our use-case at the time we owned it. Eventually, we decided to downsize for ease of driving, camping in less developed locations, and escaping the Interstate network. We bought a 27 foot Forest River Class "C". Our first non-HR. Once again, it fits our current use-case. We do have less storage for "stuff", but that's OK. Most of the storage in our 38 was filled with things we rarely needed or used, but we had all that storage - so, why not? We still have more room than we need, gas stations aren't an issue, campgrounds always seem to be able to accommodate us on short/no notice, shopping centers and grocery stores (and laundries) are no challenge. Works for us...

We have a 2020 24J and love the size. The new 24R may give you a better separation of space, 24J is more open, but the 24J model is done, so you'd need 2024 or older. For us, like you, we'd jump to 35' if we moved up - but the ability to get into state and national parks so easily win right now

We have a 22' travel trailer that we've owned for 22 years and towed over 127,000 miles so I guess it's as perfect for us as can be. For laundry, we're in between. We carry a portable "Kuppet" washing machine in the truck which is great for the "high frequency" items like socks, underwear, t-shirts, etc. For heavy items like jeans and bedding, we go to a laundromat.
