What we really thought of Z Counterform

We decided to finish off our outdoor kitchen with a beautiful pour-in-place concrete countertop. WE used the white concrete from Z Counterform and discovered many things along the way. The most important things we learned, we are sharing with you. But the real question is would we use this again??

wow watched your video's on the outdoor kitchen and Loved them. Was so nice to watch "normal average" DIY something with all the elements that goes with doing something the first time, and not only surviving it but exceeding expectations. Trades people have done this stuff for years and have seen so many things that go wrong and can adapt quicker, were the rest of us need people like you two to help the rest of us get a little edge to success. That make sense guys, I would have had to add more water anyway because of the pouring consistency. Ruth don't listen to the hubby and if still goes wrong blame him anyway LOL....xx Good job guys

Mad respect. I considered DIY poured in place large pavers. Watched a ton of videos and then luckily realized my limitations. The crew that did the job were total pros. There was 6 of them, and they turned out gorgeous, lightly tinted and with an elegant sand wash finish. There’s just no way mine would have come out well.

Omg that’s awesome! Steve actually poured some concrete pavers several years ago (our first diy here) and it was back breaking work!

Vibrate edges better maybe, what did you mix it in, maybe throw a bit more water in your mix

Thank you for the video, what did you do for the form against the bricks? Did you end up using the ‘“back/strait form”. I’m doing something similar

I removed the form against the brick and poured the concrete up against the brick.

I was going to do this myself, but it cost more than granite, so I just called a guy and did granite.
