I saw this somewhere that is so true. “Biblical submission in marriage is a wife making a choice not to overtly resist her husband’s will. That is not to say she cannot disagree with him or that she cannot express her opinion. Indeed, a wife who practices submission is by definition a woman with strength of character. She will therefore usually have her own opinions and ideas about issues. These may often be different to the opinions of her husband. But she can express her opinions and ideas respectfully without belittling and without disrespectful confrontation. In fact it might sometimes be wrong for her not to express her opinion. She is ordained by God to be her husband’s helper, not his doormat. By expressing her opinions, giving advice and offering suggestions she will be an invaluable partner to her husband.””

So you really wanted to go to church but you didn't because he didn't say it? That's so bizarre to my. Just say I wanna go to church. Done. What do you mean it's "not your role" to get you to church. You want to go, so say you wanna go. Or if he doesn't wanna go just go by yourself. But it seems like he also wanted to go cause he said "well why didn't you say something" It's just seems like you were affraid to say you wanted to go to church.

Congrats on one year of marriage! My husband and I celebrated our 1 year in August. I am quite confused though about the whole "it's your job to get us to church" segment. Sure, I would absolutely agree it's the husband's job to encourage the family and say 'hey, we're all going to church this Sunday.' But I have to disagree with what said about how it's Jordan's job to just know you want to go to church; it's not our spouses' responsibility to read our minds. Communication is key, and it's important to have fair and realistic expectations of one another.

The 'just feed her' one is so true. Some people have blood sugar instability and women specifically need to have balanced blood sugar for hormonal reasons. Esp. if it's close to our periods. So don't just feed her, give her chocolate. Lol Or her fav. sweet treat on stressful days where you can see she's struggling to keep it together. Struggling with past trauma I can say I will definitely wake up a 3 and go to a 10 with no warning and I'm standing there wondering wtf just happened and have to go into a literal corner to meditate and ground myself. And chocolate does help LOL.

Ever considered leading yourself, and building self-sufficiency?? Are you condemned to being a wayward duckling if you don't have a man to LEEEAD you?? You'll end up with a stronger sense of self if you master the art of controlling your own life, and you'll be more skilled at navigating through life's challenges. Sorry to say, but if your man doesn't have much interest in "Leading you," psssst...he might not be as into you as you think he is. If you so desperately need another person to assist you in keeping your shit straight, then stay single until one does that willingly and doesn't need convincing.
