Clear plaiting bands…..BEST invention ever, all my horses have ombré manes that would otherwise need 2/3 diff colour plaiting bands 🤦🏻‍♀️. Clear bands are a game changer !!

30+ yrs ago we didn't have the choice like today for cleaning our tack just a tin of orange saddle soap and lots of elbow grease😅😅 You've such great helmets, I remember the skull cap helmets with chin guards that used to be so uncomfortable to wear and banned not long after, and velvet hats with the button missing from the top and a bit of frayed elastic to keep it on your head, the staple of many a riding school back then, 😯😯 Not to forget those string girths,😅😅 Such happy memories, but you've definitely got some gorgeous items of tack and I love seeing how well you take care of them, after all the better care you take of them the longer they'll last, ❤️❤️

im so nervous for my dressage tests this weekend im doing the italian nationals and ive just mooved from terni to florence two andahalf hours away so i havent been able to practice. i get so nervous and feel sick normaly i dont eat eneything otherwise i get a stomakeack as usual. ps in italy they have light and dark grey bands.

I feel you! I have been way to afraid to do a show, and haven’t done one yet. I recently got my own horse, and really want to do a show with him. The only thing is, he’s really fast. I’m afraid to place really badly because sometimes it’s hard to keep him under control. I might do a show next month, otherwise I have to wait till June.

Sorry very late to this vid but my sister used to buy silver plating bands for a pony we loaned. We got them from millbry hill. Not got them for awhile so I'm not sure they still sell them but I would be surprised if they dont. We havent got them for awhile cos when we stopped loaning the pony we had a bay and a completely grey. Now we have a black and a chestnut so still not buying them

Weaver leather makes "rubber bands" mane and tail bands. I prefer these over others because they have better stretch and don't break as often as other brands. They have a ton of colors (including grey) I believe you can get them off amazon of hopefully you can get them outside of the states.

heya! for plaiting i actually have silver bands, which might help with Joey's mane. also a frequently used technique is with a needle and a special type of thread, which you dont see in the end. Maybe that's also an option?
