Season of Discovery is just not interesting. They just took spells from future expansions and added them to Classic WoW. I'm playing a the same spec that I could play in WotLK/Cata classic or retail WoW, but with classic content. Why would I want to do that?

I completely agree. Getting some abilities from TBC/WOTLK/Cata is fine, but at this point that's about 90% of the Class Changes beyond the introduction of Mage Healers / Melee Hunters / Warlock Tanks etc. If each class got one core ability from either TBC/WOTLK/Cata that was a "core ability" to their gameplay, I wouldn't mind it, but to me we're just getting too much, and it's too much of things we've seen before.

It strayed too far from Vanilla and gave updates the minority of the player base wanted. Enhance was absolutely fucking busted and people were still barely playing it in comparison to the more standard vanilla classes IE Warrior. They killed PVP, they took everything about Vanilla and actively removed it from the game. All they needed to do was release a 1-60 with a massive exp boost, and slightly balance the game and work on end game content that pre-existed (timbermaw raid ect). Taking content from us in terms of level up raids and dungeons and wonky level caps and nerfing key integral classes to a vanilla iteration of the game was actually brain dead. Imagine trying to sell someone on a TBC seasonal but Hunter, and Warlock are dog water. Or a Wrath Seasonal where Gary Unholy dk is dog water.

as atotal casual player THE biggest problem was how slow the phases were released. Phase 1 leveling was great, then the wait. Honestly I thought we maybe had a month maximum between phases, didn't expect to be at level 25 for months. So basically when phase 2 released I already completely stopped playing.

i think a lot of casuals stopped raiding after p1 bc p2 and p3 raids were much less pug friendly than BFD. blizz wants ppl to join guilds but i dont think most ppl want to commit to raiding every week on the same day and time.

what went wrong for my case: insane bad class balancing in PVP im a mage main and we might aswell be in a wheelchair(in PVP specific) : going oom before able to kill somebody fully AFK in 1 of the PVP dmg reduction patches : as a damage dealer spec+near bis gear meanwhile they had shamans broken in PVP for so long now it have broke faction balancing completely and people kinda just reroll shaman from ally now +5 shamans in BGs so often just still 1-2shotting people with that PVP dmg reduction patch meanwhile Paladins kinda do nothing on ally side compare to that paladins and Shamans is the most unhealthy class to be "broken/top tier/the best at PVP or PVE" for this version of the game becuase of they are faction exclusive

Spells talents runes is not problem real problwm was they made 4 phase destroyed leveling and did not bring any new zone raid or dungeon all they do was rewamp items and turning dungeon into raids

I'm came in late and avoided the incursions all together, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm a very very very casual player so the slow phase rate is right up my alley. I also only play classic vanilla so I cata and retail won't draw me away so I can understand not sticking around waiting if you like other versions of wow.

i dont see them making MC that hard to clear MC was easy as a 40 man raid they prob just made it a 20 man raid and added a few mechanics for some bosses and thats it, SoD characters are doing TBC lvls of dps

Agree with your comments, many believed this would be Classic+ with runes system, new class combos, new raid etc - thats why so many played Phase 1 (me incl), but by Phase 2 it was clear it was just a rehash and more like Retail (raid-wise), whch turned many players off (me incl) - agree that the game needs something new like Turtle WoW exactly, its easily done but will Blizz actually do it???
