Congratulations? For what? Erdogan just put his saddle on the wrong horse when he sided with Syria-Iran (against the EU) proclaiming support for the disaster that is Maduro and to be sure Venezuela is a national disaster but how is it that the country with the largest proven oil reserves on earth can't even provide enough food to feed it's own people? Will Turkey provide assistance to the Venezuelan people before Caracas spirals completely out of control? I think not. So why would Ergodan support Maduro's brand of fascism? I think it has more to do with Russian gas than Venezuelan oil and more to do with preventing a pipeline being built through Syria for the delivery of Qatar-Oman-UAE gas to Europe.

Richard Mcneil It's completely unfair and biased to compare Erdogan to Hitler. Erdogan's "big plans" fall in line with increasing Turkeys economy and military power to protect its self from Its neighbours. Turkey is a NATO country with borders to Iran, Iraq, Syria and Russia facing it from the narrow sea. It's very survival is in danger so is it really fair for you to claim that he is bringing about a new world order or whatever western based papers are writing?
@TR_20236 жыл бұрын
Richard McNeil How do you know the "greater plans" of Erdogan? Turkey (not the ottoman empire) never started a war to annex another land. Hitler's Germany did. Great Britain did. France did. USA did. Russia did.
@dahasolomon73146 жыл бұрын
Chris Challouma He's never said anything about going into Iran. As far as Turkey is concerned, Iran is it's only stable neighbour in the Middle East and it wishes not to cross paths or undermine it. On the other hand, the arrests happened after an attempted MILITARY COUP, which if you where paying attention involved many many players all behind the scenes. What Erdogan did by getting rid of these scum is a blessing for Turkey and democracy as a whole. As for the incursion into Syria, that was due to the growing Kurdish YPG build-up in on the border. The YPG is proven to have links to the PKK terrorist organisation and prior to the invasion as we all now so well there was the killing of Turkish citizens by missiles coming from Syria. So don't you for one second try and claim that Turkey doesn't have the right to defend it's citizen. Or are you perhaps a PKK sympathizer?

Mr. Erdogan ushered in a new era for Turkey, that is what should have been done well before. But AKP and other political parties should smooth out the way to young talent and be more democratic within party. Every Turkish party talks about necessity of democracy but they are undemocratic within itself. One man can lose elections for 20 year and still remain as chairman of party. This is what trumps talent and blocks the way for prosperity. Freedom is an inherent part of human nature and who thinks there is a road for better future without an individual freedom and freedom of expression, should understand that he kills creativity and prosperity of nation. I hope, Turkey will not drift off democracy and will stop the unprecedented outflow of talented people from the country.

catcher in the rye Our messenger of Allah, Muhammad (peace be upon him) ruled by religion. 1400 years later and Islam has grown to the most populous religion in the world. Islam is the only way. Quran is the unadulterated word of Allah. Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final messenger of Allah. What is secularism? Answer, everything but God. We love Islam and will live Islam and Insha'Allah die Islam. Either you join us or be doomed till eternity, it's your choice!

mohamed noorgat secularism is separation of religion from state. It should be kept to one's self and out of politics or education. Also, a quick stat check online lists Christians at the most populous by a margin of about a billion. Islam is second.
