RJ Corman now own the Carolina southern railroad

This is a lot like the Railroad between Banks and Tillamook Oregon.

Would a $ 2.3 million dollar grant get this RR back up and running again ? I may have an answer for this short line if it hasn't been sold yet .

Part of the reason as to why Norfolk Southern is no longer in Greenwood County. In 1998, the last part of the line was taken up from the brickyard outside of Ninety Six to the lumberyard in Silverstreet in Newberry County due to issues with the Saluda River Bridge. Also, the NS line from Prosperity through Pomaria to the interchange at Peak is abandoned. NS trains now use the old CN&L line from Columbia to Prosperity.
