The Mason Experience cbd Melbourne is booming. All over the metro Sydney is booming. You can add st Leonard’s, Rhodes and north Sydney to that list. Chatswood is also massive. All those suburbs are building multiple 150 metre plus tall buildings. Parramatta, north Sydney, Macquarie park, st Leonard’s, crows nest and the actual cbd are building 200+ metre tall towers. Elsewhere 10+ story tall buildings are going up in every suburb.

The Mason Experience only the CBD of Melbourne is booming and is full of buildings that are identical in design. Whereas multiple suburbs are booming in Sydney, Melbourne is just stuck in its one area whereas Sydney has spread out like the petals of a flower.

Vidya Mysore well Sydney isn’t the most successful city in the world. If u wanna consider living somewhere it should be Melbourne. Sky scraper capital of Southern Hemisphere, sport capital of the world, best coffee and most livable city for 7 years. And yet u wanna live in the most high priced bogan capital of NSW?
@anaussie2134 жыл бұрын
The Mason Experience Sydney is an alpha plus world city with a larger population than the merely Alpha world city Melbourne. We also have a temperate climate with the worlds largest natural harbour and hundreds of beaches. Melbourne is freezing with a muddy stream flowing through it, great.
@themasonexperience68444 жыл бұрын
An Aussie dumb fuck Melbourne population is growing faster than Sydney. Melbourne is the most livable Australian city, yet alone most successful. All you have is 1 good bridge and a city not planned as well as the other cities. Ofc they have there beaches so if you like to surf that’s better. If you like to cycle and a more sporty/hippy city then I would say Melbourne
@anaussie2134 жыл бұрын
The Mason Experience growing faster by a few percentage points, it will take decades for Melbourne to catch our population, we’re pushing 6 million here. Lol at “most liveable”, a meaningless metric. I suppose if you are obsessed with afl or a “hippy” the Melbourne cbd might seem cool. That’s all Melbourne has, a cbd with some residential towers surrounded by Kath and Kim suburbia.
@themasonexperience68444 жыл бұрын
An Aussie Melbourne has 5.1 million and Sydney has 5.3 million people in 2020 and according to the Herald Sun news and Sydney morning Herald, Sydney is the city that’s most likely to suffer with toursuim and population growth. They also stated that Sydney will be over taken by Melbourne in population by late 2023 or 2024. Melbourne does have much more to offer than sport, art and skyscrapers incase you have not noticed. I suggest you do your research next time.

I love these visualisations. It’s pretty accurate. Didn’t see anything for 1 Elizabeth Street which has been under construction for a while now. But I guess this was made before final plans were agreed. Only other thing I noticed was a cruise liner in Circular Quay ‘stern first’. Don’t think I have ever seen one moored with its bow facing out.

There is a height restriction in that no building can be built taller than the Centrepoint Tower. This is because of the close proximity to the aiiport.

Although Sydney host one of the most beautiful inspiring buildings of the past 70 years so much of post war architecture in Sydney like many other cities is not particularly attractive or appealing. The city lost much of its beauty with the destruction of pre war buildings and high rise construction from each decade since the 1950s has done little or nothing to enhance the city. Many of the worst high rise buildings in Sydney are residential and some are pretty terrible. It is a challenge to make buildings today look appealing, sophisticated or beautifull but it can be done.Generally the sleek glass buildings of recent years are a step above allot of what has come before especially when you look at the concrete walls or apartment balconies that reach up to the sky. The problen here is that architecture can become boring, repetitive and bland. A balance of making sure buildings enhance or contrast well with heritage buildings while considering the aesthetics as the same importance as their function or money being made is what will improve the look and feel of the city.
