Walmart was the first store to carry Arcade1up then they slowly stopped stocking inventory in stores. Will 2024 be different?

I picked up a Simpsons one about a month ago on clearance for $100! Still working on modding it with a retro pie 4 and it's going to be sweet when i get time to finish it.

Go with the 20 inch monitor upgrade. U can buy a kit online. I have one, my sf2 one died, also running raspberry pi.

It’s a great cabinet to mod, I thought about adding Konami and Capcom soft mod to mine but kept it stock for now.

My Walmart used to carry a good variety of 1ups but went looking recently and not a single one. Which makes sense they are heavy, hard to deal with, take up space, units not selling, having to deal with returns…just bad business.

They do take up space, but it helps sell Classic versions by having a few wedged in electronics. I miss the days of seeing a few different titles other than Pacman / Ms Pacman :) Thanks for watching 👊

Do you have an Ollie’s nearby? They are getting deep discounted Aracade 1ups … like $199 to $299 for cabinets with risers. Saw a Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz and Projectorcade yesterday in person. But I was hunting Star Wars only so I passed but posted on an Arcade 1ups Fans page on Facebook to help out others.

Hey Ted, I’m about an hour in a half away from the 2 in IL. How close are you to Ollies? I have to make it to either of them soon, not sure if they will have anything but I did see that SW show up on fb too.

@@PDX7 I am near three but the nice guy at Ollies checked for Star Wars in their system and the closest to me was over 6 hours away (I live in central GA and the closest was in Alabama.) and he saw two others in the whole South, so very few. I then decided to buy a used Gen 1 cabinet on Facebook Marketplace for $350 with riser, upgraded marquee and stool. Picking it up tomorrow about four hours away. Plan is mod with a Buy Stuffs Arcade kit down the road. Your videos have been a lot of help!

@tedadamgreen2186 that’s a great price, Thank you I really appreciate it Ted. The mod is so worth it, really fun to play just takes a little while to get used to go back to main menu in the beginning. Playing T2 with the flight yoke is unbelievable:)

Great walk and talk videos. I was at my local Walmart yesterday. The only A1Up remaining was the Pac-Man Classic display on a riser. The Walmart sales associate told me they did a clearance on all remaining units for $150.

A place called Ollies, gets them sometimes. They had NFL Blitz, pacman projector, Streetfighter, and Mortal Kombat (2021 model)

My Walmart in Hartford abandoned 1Up about a year ago and hasn't looked back. I don't see the peasant version ever reappearing there. Germantown is the closest that still carries them. Great video PD7!

I have 15 walmarts in my area. None except 1, have 1ups. The one that does, has like 15 and a pacman demo. They are the older 2021 models and no riser

Hi PhilO. I am not confident in the leadership at A1up, for all the negatives John D and maybe even Scott B had some passion for the home arcade space, I dont get that vibe from the employees currently running the show. Its almost like Bee, Michael B and Travis were trying to drag them over the line, the community shouldnt have to tell a company everything. Its one thing to give helpful suggestions its another to tell them everything. A1up needs to get to the XL's yesterday, if they are afraid release the cabs that will sell, Tron, Star Wars, Ms Pacman, Burger Time, then release some xl sports cabs, basketball, golf, maybe Incredible Tech is done with A1up, they have some titles that are 10 years old they should be going after. I saw the big wig from Zen really slamming A1up over the pinball machine, they burnt that bridge and Zen moved on to Atgames, “Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome” or Die is where they are at and time is running out, the bankers want their money.

Hey Carl, Happy Friday :) I hope they will surprise us with XL’s and a few deluxe over time this year. It’s weird not getting any emails in the last 2 weeks from A1up, they might be changing their approach fingers crossed. I think it will be 2-3 months until we see anything new, unfortunately the sales will be limited until then. Best chances is Best Buy 24 hour sales, they’ve lost pinball but they can make it up with XL’s and other form factors. Have a great day my friend!

That X-Men 97 Lego looks amazing. Won't be paying $85 though, lol. We have to be 1-2 months away from X-Men 97 coming to Disney+, they are supposed to have the original voice actors. Can't wait
