I absolutely think they are being genuine but what they don’t realize, there are very few women that are quality enough for the guy they are describing right now…I am saying that as a man, lord knows, I’ve got a ton to work on lol. I understand that about myself and that’s why I’m not in a relationship right now. One point that never fails to bewilder me is how women want to be able to turn their brains off and not have to put in any effort. Like what? How is that fair to the man in the relationship who has to constantly stress, plan 5 steps ahead, account for another human that isn’t related to him, etc, when we all have to deal with the same things? I’m not saying the roles should be reversed and women should be the leaders because I absolutely don’t believe that nor do I want that in my relationships, but the arrogance of wanting someone else to do everything for you while you just mindlessly wander behind them is nuts to me. This is one of the big divides in expectations in relationships and until we remember this, I believe the dating/relationship scene will continue to suffer.
