What if you're a married woman and your husband doesn't want to have children?

If he simply does not want to have kids because they are an inconvenience, etc etc... If he is a Christian, tell him that his King says, "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward." (Psalm 127:3) And then pray for God to grant him repentance. - Brett

Thank you for answering my question. I have been praying that God changes his heart. He is a Christian, as am I. The topic of children is a difficult one to bring up. He made it clear that he does not want children at this point in our lives, but that he would not deny me if that's what I want. But I'm afraid that he will resent me for talking him into it, or that our time for having children is running out and he may have changed his mind. Maybe I should stop being afraid and trust in God. If I pray and talk with my husband, and quote scripture, and still the answer is no, what then? I won't commit reproductive coercion, I find the idea repugnant, dishonest and manipulative. Nor do I believe that this would be what a Christian woman ought to do. We've been married 12 years and are in love, and at first I didn't want children. I was so certain, but now I regard it as the greatest regret of my life. Thank you for your time.
