I feel like the Mildliners in the brush tip specifically are actually a great though non-professional level art supply. They layer even on cheap paper and are also great for lettering and adult coloring.

i think you can do that with the hi-tec c coleto! it’s a customizable multipen and they have refills in multiple sizes.

My Dr Grip multi pen holds 4 inks and 1 pencil. I prefer .38 and .5 tips. The Uni Style Fit gel refills come in .28 .38 and .5 tips and 16 different colors! I swap out the ink in the Dr Grip with the uni fit refills because I prefer the feel of the Dr Grip.

You have such nice artwork in the product-page photos on your site. I'd love to see more videos with artists talking about using the art products. I have the Copic Multiliner Pen B-2 - 9 Pen Set and the Pilot S3 Drafting Pencils. They both have a nice range of line widths in ink and graphite.

Yeah, it can definitely drain ink pretty fast, especially if you blend and layer a lot!

You give up some ink usage and it being harder to get soft gradients for being able to use mixed media like colored pencils and water colors along your markers. Marker paper conserves the ink and allows for nicer gradients but does not take any other media well, even sketching can be challenging if you have a heavy hand. So it depends on what you wanna do.

What I would get with 50$ & what would recommend for 50$ would be different because would recommend things I'm familiar with & can attest to their quality & what would get would mostly be like refills for supplies running low or new exciting things that haven't come across before to try out. If were to recommend would recommend: Zebra M-301 mechanical pencil (3.00$), uni nano dia mix colored leads (3.50$), Kuretake black manga ink (9.50$), blue pumpkin pen nib (1.99$), Tachikawa t-40 nib holder (8.25$), Akashiya Sai Omomuki watercolor brush set (11.25$), and Fluid watercolor pad (13.50$ or the smaller 9$ if want to stay under 50$ & account for sales tax)

As a calligrapher, I'd pick out a Pilot Parallel fountain pen, Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen, one or two Tombow dual brush pens, a nib holder (the one I have is a Tachikawa), a set of Nikko G nibs, some ink and Tomoe River paper. Maybe add in a Uniball Signo in black for super fine lines. I'm not sure which ink I'd choose, but most of the work I do is in black.

I previously bought art supplies from your store! I've bought a mixture of Sakura Microns, a Stillman & Birn Zeta series sketchbook (hardcover), some Copic markers, and even 0.5 lavender lead for my mechanical pencil. Had I $50, I'm sure I'd invest towards some Fabre-Castell pencils since I adore that brand.

These are great! You don't have Faber castell either.) Tombow Mono Zero eraser $5.25 (since you don't have the mars eraser pencil) Bristol board (you don't sell bristol board?????) Jet Pens A5 paper - 100 sheets (since you don't sell bristol board) - $7 Uni Pin 02 - $1.75 Unipin 08 - $2.45 Prismacolor 24 set - $18 Total: $49.1 I can *just* manage it, although I would be sad at the lack of bristol board.

0:49 ; Nooooo, using heavy weight paper for markers is asking for a short lived marker that you will have to refill much more! There's a reason paper recommended for markers are thin!

Marker paper feels horrible to draw on tho so i end up never using it, my go-to paper is somewhere in the middle i guess, it's canson 1557 120gsm sketch paper. I use it because it's basically decent with every medium i use, it tolerates some watercolour, works great with fineliners and normal markers and doesn't bleed terribly with copics
