​@@charliebat Tics can also become stims. I have a tic where I twitch my nose involuntarily, but I also can twitch it repeatedly as a stim for comfort. Depending on the tic they can sometimes become a place of comfort. However, most tics are uncomfortable (physically & mentally), especially when the tic cannot be executed. I think the difference is that tics are involuntary and the stims are usually voluntary. I think Damien's eyebrows began as an involuntary tic and now he occasionally uses it as a stim.

huzzah! also, context, the reason clever corps are "cool see you there." when damien streams and "HECK YES DONT YOU DARE STREAM." when he misses a stream is because for a long time he felt the need to apologise, repeatedly, every time he missed a stream. so we all just want to make it abundantly clear to him that, while we love watching his streams, we want him to look after himself first. also him missing stream to help shayne and his broken down car would result in a fun anecdote the next stream.

Yes! ADHD here and 2020 was not fun. Those streams (especially around the Bugsnax time) were at times the only thing I looked forward to and they always made me happy. The clevercore has always been so nice and supportive. I can be kind of awkward and nervous in person, but also know I can’t be alone for too long. It was nice to have a sense of community, but in a comfortable setting. Not sure Damien knows how much a lot of us really appreciate his honesty and the safe space he creates for us.

@@not__any7766 it’s called Sleep with Me (yeah, I know lol, but it’s not weird like that or anything) and it’s hosted by Scooter/Drew. It’s the first one that’s actually helped me. It took a couple of episodes to get into coz it’s not like the usual sleep podcasts. It’s not like a guided meditation or anything. But somehow it really makes the world of difference to me. I highly recommend it. And Scoots is wonderfully inclusive and works to help all sorts of different charities etc. I really do think it’s worth a try for anyone who struggles with sleep. The website also has recommendations for other podcasts if it doesn’t work for you. I hope you find something that helps you sleep friend, take care xxx

My bf (who is basically a Damien variant lol) and I have been doing "Parallel Play" where we each do a solo activity we love (ex: Sims or sewing for me, video games or model making for him) but in the same room so we can randomly talk to each other or give each other love lol. It's worked well for both our neurodivergence and social battery.
