When Japanese get angry be prepared to get questioned to death. Nande, doshite, naze, wake wakaranai.

Japanese people get angry just like anyone else. They tend to bottle up their anger causing much stress.

Japanese do get angry, just not necessarily in public. Piss off a Japanese dad and see what happens. Japanese moms can get very angry too.

Yes, and many also have serious road rage. Not as bad as when driving in Korea but still unexpected for most Westerns driving in Japan for the first time. Actually that surprised me the most lol

You can critique without being negative and a pedagogy trick would be to start your critique with something positive, it makes the object more receptive to a critique.

I have recieved the anger of a Japanese person many times in my life. They seem to express negative emotions quite well, but can't speak out so much about thier positive feelings.

I've been studying up on the Japanese spiritual way of life when I visit in March 2024 and I don't know about the younger generation but the older generation believed you should not meet evil with evil, anger with anger, etc. It's about the balance.

From my experience Japanese girls/ women can get psychotically angry...viciously angry that they literally take their claws out ( fingernails!). But with a slight twist of reasoning at then end of their psychotic/crazy/angry episode. Always willing to come to an understanding or reasoning with their partner. Which is an awesome thing because their always willing to come back to you when things get bad. At least that's what I've known from my experience.

Do you think Japanese will be more open about this kind of thing when they talk to a foreigner?
@magicflierplays
@magicflierplays 11 ай бұрын
I'd say that when you get so proficient in Japanese that it's hard to believe you weren't born in Japan, you'll get close enough that these boundaries simply don't matter. They would assume you understand all kinds of nuances in Japanese language, and that'll be when they'll be more open (as well as reasons to be angry) because there would be little room for misunderstandings at this point. So if you aren't proficient, it leaves room for misunderstanding, especially if you're a foreigner that doesn't understand Japanese.

i have been in Japan 2 times now and i searched up before what was okay and what not. The first time i was in Japan was 5 years ago and a lady hit me with her bicycle hit me. Maybe i was in the wrong to i dont know about that but it was not like she hit me on purpose as she couldn't see me behind the turn. But she apologized but i couldn't answer back then as i didnt knew how to respond. Last time was this year in May and i learned a bit of Japanese before coming over still needed google translate for some harder questions.😅 But everything went easier this time and i am sure i will be there again next year. As a friend of mine really wants to go there too and he wants me as a kind of guide.😅

Small, but terrible. Silent, but deadly. Remember that Simpsons episode with the Yakuza? The strongest one was the quiet and small one. When Japanese get mad, they get extremely mad and usually for a good reason because someone did something really wrong and dumb. You don't want to get them mad. One thing that really gets me mad are people who are always late and are not organized. People that don't take responsibility for their mistakes piss me off, too. People that do really inappropriate things also angers me.

Japanese are not peaceful they keep a lot of feeling for themself, it's different & it's not healthy at all , of course for just a little thing it's ok but for more important one it's not good for them, yeah Japanese people are kind but they're also known for wearing a mask & pretend to like you or being polite just for being polite but yeah it's also pretty annoying in some ways, for the poor girl who've fight with her mother cause her mom was just going to see her brother match etc it's pretty sad but in Japan the boys are more important in a family than girls but i'm sad for her & she was right to be mad & i'm sad cause i know she's not the only one & that a lot of young student in Japan (& of course other asian contry mostly) are depressed, sad & are force to do what their parents want them to even if they hate it etc ...., when in a lot of other foreigners country when you have a certain age you dare to say what you like or don't like etc ...

The title makes no sense. You can't make a language angry. If you mean people, you have to say "the Japanese".
@angelasands1643

Japanese people. "People" is implied in this context. Like how sometimes you might mean "Japanese language" and not say "language" but it is implied based on the context.
