@@haileylindberg4365 God’s Word says to commit your works to the Lord and He will establish your thoughts, plans, depending on what version you choose. Commit it to Him and He will lead you in exactly what to say and how to go about it I truly believe! We ask who are we to do anything or try anything. When I feel this way I have to remember I’m now dead and Christ Jesus lives in me. The imposter syndrome (I really think) is a lie from hell to stop us from doing what the Lord is asking us to do. If we belong to Jesus, He lives in us and I pray that the Lord will help us in our unbelief and to strengthen us in the might of His Holy Spirit in our inner man so that we will speak the truth over who we REALLY are in Christ Jesus and it’s not an imposter.

Galileo did not deny what the Bible taught. His "sin", in the eyes of Rome, was to deny the teaching of Aristotle, whose philosophy was considered as important as the Bible by the Scholastics, if not more so. Augustine had been all about Plato, but Thomas of Aquinas was all about Aristotle. His guys were in power, so you didn't mess with Aristotle, upon pain of death. But neither Plato nor Aristotle were revealed truth, from God. They were philosophy, and we are warned against allowing "philosophy and vain deceit" to rob us of our faith. Those professional religious hierarchy cared more about their intellectual interests than they did the word of God.

To be honest some of the stuff that we have been told in the Christians churches about Jesus it is not scholastically the case. And it does not matter how far you can go in time to the biginnings of Christianity because how people are responding to the person of Jesus tell us a great deal about the faith of the people, they do not necessarily tell us anything about Jesus. They tell us about Christology about people's images of the Christ. However historically they got no particular claim for validity.

Up until Jesus came, they were saved by faith in the coming Messiah, all the way back to outside the garden of Eden, when they were told that the Seed of the woman would crush the head of the serpent someday.. There are also statements that God winked at sins before Jesus came. God can be trusted to care about the unsaved people of every place and age. Paul said that people are put in the places they are, not so that they won't have any way to be saved, but that they might "feel" after God and perhaps find Him. That implies that the Holy Spirit is drawing people to Jesus, even before they have heard. John 1 also says that Jesus is the light that lights every man who comes into the world. That means that God is giving every person some light, and see, if they respond to the light they have, will not God send them more light, just like He did for Cornelius, the Ethiopian eunuch, and the man in Macedonia? The Seed of the woman: Aztecs or Mayans, I can't remember right now, had a goddess whose name was transliterated as Guadalupe, when the Catholic church turned that goddess into an appearance of Mary through syncretism, so they could win the people and control them. But there's something interesting about this false goddess. The story about her was that *she crushed the serpent under her feet;* that's how she was pictured, and how Rome and Mexican Catholics picture Mary, 'our lady of Guadalupe" today. But see, what the Indians had done was to change the ancient story of the "Seed of the woman" into a myth which created a goddess who could be their mother-Savior. But before they changed it, they were carrying the story with them, of the Seed of the woman, He who would crush the head of the serpent: the Messiah. At that time, at least, there was light from God, with which they could put their faith in Him? If that was true, then, would not the Holy Spirit have been able to give them some light, to send them back to enough understanding about the Messiah that they could hope in Him and be saved? God is good, and wants people saved.

With all due respect sir God is the Creator and the Sustainer of the universe Who is a Supreme Being free of human limitations, needs and wants, He has no partners in His Divinity he didn't come with human images to speak to people, He is not man, he has not any son, he has not any partners, He doesn’t need any physical sacrifice in order to forgive sins, and that no sin is too great for His Mercy; to say so would be to ascribe deficiency to His Excellence and Perfection him, Salvation comes from him alone in seeking forgiveness, so when a person seeks forgiveness, he must turn to God submissively with true remorse and beg forgiveness, promising not to repeat the sin. Then and only then will sins be forgiven, so as God says: The door to forgiveness is open to anyone who seeks it and he says: "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of God . Indeed,God forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Well that is one reason for His church. Besides most of men did not have access to the bible, until the 1800's. Men were illiterate for more than 1900 years, so how can mostly illiterate men read the Scriptures. Mass literacy only started around the 1800....and very very slowly increased until the 1950's where 40% of the world population were still illiterate.... Jesus did say; “ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Hence the call made to the first disciples was to do and to teach by example, not to write a book which did not appear until many centuries later. A book most men can't read, until the 1800's.

Knowing about God and Christ is merely religion! Knowing Them in an ever deepening relationship yet then confirmed in scripture truth is the essence of eternal life. JESUS prayed: " This is eternal life, that they may know You the only true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. ( John 17:3 ) " Know" here is the Greek word Ginosko meaning to gain personal knowledge in an ever deepening relationship with God through Christ coupled with the confirming knowledge of scripture truth producing an emphatic belief. Always Both/And never Either/Or. Why even speculate if scripture were not there for confirmation of all we discover and learn from in relation to the Father through Christ. For we have the gift of scripture to study to show ourselves approved of God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15. God's perfect design for man to know! ( Ginosko )

First of all God Himself said He would preserve His Word so the Bible and the knowledge of things written in the Bible would never disappear even in a hypothetical situation. 2nd Jesus Christ told us to write His Word in our hearts for a reason. 3rd People should ask how did the old times prophets, disciples and apostles know the scriptures without there being a massive collection of scriptures in a book called the Bible now? Simple they were led by the Holy Spirit and passed this knowledge from generation to generation. Orally and by writing manuscripts. In short God is Almighty and if the Bible were to dissapear He would do as He has done in the past. He could supernaturally inspire a man to write it overnight cover to cover if he pleases.

Why are there awards given to christian artists for preaching the Word in music. Doesn't that put the emphasis on the person and not God , and make one artists better than the other in the commission of our ministry? Makes them more popular and rich? The apostles didn't compete with one another as to who was the best preacher or whose ministry was mos popular. They sacrifice everything to not waste their time with earthly rewards. What would happen if the bible would disappear? I think that the early Church tells us how we could still know the faith: Paraphrasing: “Scripture, then, is an excellent source for the Rule of Faith. It is divine and must be believed. But the Scriptures are not always clear, nor did all of Scripture exist from the beginning. Hence, it is not an absolute Rule of Faith. Scripture is ultimately subject to the criterion of tradition, of the doctrine of the Church; of the Rule of Truth itself…..Tradition must be derived from the Apostles. Any tradition outside the apostolic Tradition must be absolutely rejected….Since Tradition existed before the writings of the New Testament it is an absolute source of revelation. It is the teaching of the living Church, which would have existed even if nothing had been committed to writing.” - Ancient Christian Writers, Ireneaus, “Against the Heresies” Book 1. If every Bible suddenly vanished, we'd have to remember the Bible the best we could, and write down, and otherwise record, what we remembered. No supposed, empirical evidence is a living Word, quick and powerful, able to divide between the joints and the marrow. No extra-biblical evidence is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. Today, when there is so much propaganda which says that we have no experience of the Holy Spirit, not even the conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment, and guidance to understand all truth, which Jesus said the Holy Spirit would be sent to give us, we have to hold to what the Bible says, or we will be deceived. We believe in Jesus, because God reveals His truth to our hearts. That is why Jesus said we would believe. While our receiving this from the Holy Spirit is subjective, guys, the actual conviction of the true, Holy Spirit is objective; nothing could be truer than the testimony of the Spirit of truth, of the living God. The recent rejection of our experience of the Holy Spirit's conviction: is it not "denying the power thereof"? It is, and we are told, *from such, turn away.* We do not do well to divorce our faith in Jesus from the Bible, OR the convicting Holy Spirit. That is a Trojan horse from our enemy, really.

Dear christians with all due respect as a Muslim the Quran tells the true story of the life of Jesus Christ and it shows that relates the life of Jesus is very different from that of the Bible, including the Old Testament and the New Testament, and that Jesus Peace be upon him was a just human being not a God nor the son of God, He neither said he was God nor that he came to die for the sins of the world he come to preach what the earlier prophets preached Adam, Noah, Jonah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, Solomon, Moses and all the other prophets to Worship only One GOD and Never associate any partner with him and this belief is the path of eternal life,God gave Jesus the ability to perform numerous miracles such as giving life to a bird made of clay and He spoke as a baby in the cradle, he gave life to the dead, cured the leper and the blind, so as to demonstrate the authenticity of the Messenger and his people would believe him and follow his teachings, these miracles were performed by the will of God, and not by any special ability of Jesus himself, as he was just a human being and a Messenger of God but the Jews persecuted and accused Jesus of making himself God However, Jesus rejected their accusation. He made it clear to them that his actions did not come from his own decision, but they came from God. Jesus was only doing as the God was doing During his entire ministry So they instead mocked him and conspired with the Romans against him but God saved him and raised him up to Him,And the likeness of Jesus was put over another man. Jesus’ enemies took this man and crucified him, thinking that He was jesus.

I don't have any reason to believe that. His followers spread His gospel far and wide, and they made it clear who Jesus claimed to be: "But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”And the high priest tore his garments and said, “What further witnesses do we need? You have heard his blasphemy. Do you think that Roman Catholic are true biblical Christians? They believed back then in praying to saints and purgatory with deliverance of hell through money paid by people on earth. Mary is part of Salvation. Priests were the icons to pardoning of sins. This church in history killed soo many true biblical Christians and other innocent people in the name of Jesus. That is counter biblical Christianity. The true church is the small remnant.

The Catholics are the first biblical Christians as they have been preaching from the scriptures sine the first century. They also accumulated the books of the bible and determined the canon of scripture. Purgatory is biblical as well as the Communion of the Saints. NO, the Catholic Church never taught that anyone can be delivered from hell as hell is permanent and eternal. Mary is part of the plan of salvation as she gave birth to Jesus. Jesus gave His apostles to forgive or retain sins. It is a myth that the Catholic Church killed "true biblical Christians" as the Catholics have always been biblical Christians.

I don't reject the Bible, and in fact I love reading it. However I don't believe that its literally true. Its a book about the journey of a group of people, and how they understood the world. To me Jesus matters because he sided with those at the bottom and with people who were rejected and called sinners. That's what got him executed. If more people were to emulate Jesus this world would turn out to be a far better place for all.

@@dahelmang Mark used Isiah 53 and Psalm 22 and wrapped those verses around Jesus. And the OT accounts are not about Jesus. They are about the Jewish Nation and its people. Matthew, Mark and John were Jewish authors, however they were story tellers and not Scholars. The fact is that Jesus died alone, and his body was dumped in a common grave and rotted. What matters to me is how Jesus lived, loved and faced death with no hate towards anyone. A remarkable human being who inspires me. I call him Lord and worship him because he was fully human. @@maluwa6957 actually it's a reference to Daniel: "“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. - Daniel 7:13-14 Jews decided these passages referred to Israel after Jesus came because they matched Him too closely. Matthew and John were eyewitnesses. Mark gave Peter's account, and Luke interviewed many witnesses. Whether they were scholars is irrelevant. What you should care about is the truth. And you have rejected the truth about Jesus. He did not die alone you made that up. He died in front of many witnesses. His resurrection was observed by many people as well. I don't see how you can call yourself a Christian if you reject what Jesus said.

@@dahelmang The crucifixion narratives are taken off Isaiah and the book of Psalms and are been wrapped around Jesus. They are not historically true. Those who were executed were taken down and dumped in a common grave. That's how cruel the Roman empire was. The Gospel narratives are not historical accounts. They are liturgy. Your feeble attempt to attack me as not been a Christian is not unusual. Because anyone who refuses to believe in nonsense always gets attacked. I love the Bible, but I don't believe that its literally true. Not a single Christian Scholar believes that the Gospel stories concerning Jesus are historical facts. Far from been accounts of history, they were written by people who were inspired by the life of Jesus. Most of it has been taken off the old testament and wrapped around the life of Jesus. No one will ever know for certain what Jesus spoke or what his acts were. All we can be certain about is that he was a simple, kind Jewish Rabbi who walked the alleyways of Palestine preaching a message of love and tolerance. Scholars at the Jesus seminar came up with a plan and they used a color code system to work it out. Red means Jesus said it , pink means there is some doubt, brown means its really doubtful and black means he never said it. If you were to get hold of a Bible published by the Jesus seminar, the red code appears only about twice, and even then its never certain whether they are the authentic words and acts of the historical Jesus. As a Christian to me what matters is to strive to be a humanist like Jesus and not lose sleep over what his actual words or actions were, because no-one will ever know. While all you literalists will disagree with me, Christians who use reason to walk the path of Jesus would agree with me.
