Just a friendly reminder that a lot of the people involved in this segment have spoken up about how fake it was, and how this wasn’t how it happened at all.

I had a laptop stolen and I was devastated. I'm thinking I might question the girl taking it like "Is that yours? I saw another girl sitting there.." When my laptop was stolen the police hardly did anything so it's better to prevent it from happening. Stealing personal items is bullnanny, most people can't afford to replace them. I had to replace my laptop with part of my pel grant for college.

7:02... The girl says the producers asked her about it, and Tyra says they didn't know why they were on the show... Bullshit.
@blancokitty8910 жыл бұрын
Hey I was in that segment I was the girl who yawned...they lied to us. Also, I actually asked Matt the waiter to check to see if anyone took her laptop to keep it safe. the show edited it to make it looked like I saw it go down. I did not. Actually I was the only one who was not invited to be on the show the next day. I never actually saw a laptop get taken. The Tyra Banks show 100 percent lied about my reaction.

@@greenjaguar5748 Get some popcorn, your favorite beverage and a comfortable chair. Around the 2:30 mark, there is a shot of me in a blue shirt. I have red hair. They show me yawning and reading a newspaper (which happened when I was in the lounge alone and waiting for the producer to come speak to me... they had hidden cameras on me). If you watch the whole segment, you'll notice I am not at the Tyra show on stage when they did the big reveal. That is because they cut me from the segment and lied to me to tell me my segment was cancelled, but they would keep me in mind for something else. They cut me because I never witnessed the laptop being stolen. I never saw the woman who "stole" it and when the "victim" asked me if I had seen it and pointed to where she left it, I knew for a fact the laptop was not there when I walked in. I mentioned this to the producer, flagged down the waiter and tried to comfort the "victim". Because I hadn't seen it, I was sure that someone on staff must have put it in a safe place (this is what I would have done if I was working). I reassured the girl, until the waiter came out with the bad news that it was not in the back. I looked at the producer and told her how horrible I felt for the girl... but also mentioned that the laptop wasn't there when I walked in so she must have been gone a long time. The producer then proceeded to interview me on a GoPro for the "fake" segment I thought I was going to be a part of. Later on that night I got a call saying that they were cutting the segment. Everyone who did react to the laptop being stolen had hidden cameras on them at this point. We don't know how people really reacted because the show edits people purposely to make them look bad. At this point they should have cut me from the segment, but instead they edited footage to make it seem like I witnessed a crime and said nothing. I didn't even find out they used my footage until about a year later. Everyone who was in the "What would you do" segment was lied to. In order to lure the participants in this segment, they placed an ad on Craiglist looking for outrageous New York Stories. I wrote in and told a story about the time I moved to NYC and lost my life savings in a cab, only to have it returned to me. So while the show was filming me with the intention of setting me up, they led me to believe I was going to tell this heartwarming story on TV. I should mention that I have been on a few hidden camera shows (they are always on Craigslist looking for people to set up) and usually they are pretty fun and harmless. Every single time they had me sign a release form for the show I *thought* I was going on (or the focus group I thought I was doing). Afterwards they reveal the setup, they have you sign a *new* release form, once you know what show you're actually going on. At this point you can refuse to sign it so they can't use the footage. %99.9 sign it (even if it shows them in a bad light) because they want to be on TV, but they played dirty with me. They most likely crossed some legal lines with me as well.
