Anybody else hate it when you spend a long time making something to eat and then you end up dropping it on the floor only to think whether or not to still eat it? Lol

Depends on the floor though I wouldn't eat food that had dropped in the floor that's disgusting o_o

I think that's really true in restaurants though. They don't want to waste food. And for a waiter to drop something and then having to go back to the chef or whatever, they could probably get yelled at and stuff. Some people wouldn't believe the stuff that happens at restaurants/bars..

When food spills onto my floor, it goes in the trash. I use to go to "jackson hole" in Manhattan for a "turkey burger". I found a STAPLE inside my cooked turkey burger. The freaking owner acted as if it was NO BIG THING. I should've sued his ass because I almost swallowed it. Well, I no longer go eat out. I don't trust other's to handle my food and as you can see, their nasty, very unsanitary, and you would be utterly disgusted if you REALLY knew what goes on in the kitchen/basement of all restaurants. Never again.

I'm sure it's happened to me. I've worked in the fast food industry & I NEVER served anything that was contaminated in any way. I worked w/ people that wouldn't was the pans between uses which grossed me out. I even yelled at my supervisors for not being sanitary. Sure they tried to write me up, but the manager ended up giving them a citation...lol. It's more disrespectful & I am pretty sure those who do serve contaminated food will be the 1st ones to bitch that something is wrong w/ their food.

At the same time though, if you're in a position in power where young girls look up to you, it doesn't matter what you did in the past. You should acknowledge it, of course, but it's also good to use that kind of power to influence others in a strong way and make them become more aware of the world around them.

a lot of people do that, at school we have this class "child care" and for one day mothers bring their kids, so we can tell them stories and eat with them. We make groups and we prepare them little smily burgers ,i trip on the carpet and drop them and the teacher said, just pick it up and clean the burgers and feed them. We were shock because she said hygiene is first. So we scrap those and make a new ones, but thats reality guys.

I have worked with food (manager at a pizza place) and never did we just say "shit happens" and serve our customers something that we knew was less than perfect. One time, about 12 pizzas fell off a rack when someone pulled out a pizza for a carry-out customer from the bottom. Some of those pizzas appeared undamaged, but we replaced them ALL, because shit happens, and when it does, you do what it takes to make it right. L-isten E-mpathize A-pologize D-do what it takes to make it right. LEAD.

that's actually true what that guy said about working in a restaurant - I've worked in 5 different restaurants and it's absolutely the same everywhere, no matter how prestigeous they might be. if somebody dropped sth, he couldn't care less. the staff would also touch the food without gloves or washing their hands, sometimes after using a toilet. one time guys from a kitchen even spat into a client's porridge because he was rude.

I worry about your restaurants people. I work in fast food, and our policy is, if it touched the floor it goes in the bin. We have never cut corners on that policy. Except sometimes when I drop a nugget on the bench and know I can't give it to the customer so I pop it in my mouth, but that's only the bench I wouldn't eat it if it touched the floor.

@VioletCarousel u right on this one and i watched a doc they were saying that children in poor area tend to have a stronger immune systems than the wealthier ones because their bodies use to face germs and overcome it most of the time...that doesnt mean we have to be exposed noooo but becoz we try to avoid germs so hard and too much that we overtake medications and we not enough prepare when they there...
@sashahope299611 жыл бұрын
I'm def not an expert in this subject so please excuse me if I'm not 100% technically correct, but you need to consider bystander apathy. You can't really judge people on not saying anything because you can't personally know until you ARE the bystander watching. Sure, all of us would think we'd say something, but its not like all these people are that different from us so we could quite possibly do the same thing. I recommend researching bystander apathy and looking at the case of Kitty Genovese

Well I think the experiment with the Danish was poorly conceived because people might be reluctant due to the fact that the waiter could potentially lose his job. Plus everyone looks so down on people in the service industry anyway, it Should have been an irrational customer giving the waiter a hard time and see if anyone stepped in.

@TrueInnovator159 I understood perfectly what you were saying in your first comment. My reply to your comment wasn't me taking your comment "a little too seriously". I was merely stating that germs in fact can kill you, not everyone in America is that way, and not everyone gives oral sex. Now, the person who is taking this seriously is you, since you've been replying, trying to justify your first comment. Sorry that not everyone agrees with you. As an American, you should know that happens.
