It's pretty cool. Actually, I live in the same neighborhood in Lancaster, PA as the Lancaster watch factory. They've converted it to apartments at this point but every time I look out my window the big clock towers glare at me. I actually just bought my first Hamilton watch this week because I wanted to own some of the rich history of Lancaster PA

I'm rather reluctant to buy a modern day Hamilton since its basically in name only since it was purchased by the swatch conglomerate. I'm still very happy that the name exists though, and I'll make sure to continue honoring it by maintaining my railroad special 992b. You really can't beat the beat of a pocket watch as you go to sleep.

Not true, all brands under swatch are unique and independent. There are very few watch brands on earth that aren't owned by similar group.

I think the watch will run off ambient light and the battery will take over if the light diminishes below a certain level.
