This is probably the most fun I’ve had writing and producing a video and it’s one I’ve wanted to make ever since I visited Flushing Meadows Park last year. Because this isn’t the typical video format found on the channel I’m not expecting this video to do well so if you could give it an extra share or two that would be very much appreciated TPM crew!

Hey. I just wanted to give you some advice. As you explained this video most likely won't do so well. But that's the thing. It SHOULD! What I'm really saying is that your top 10's videos and such are great and informative but they've taken over your content. Now if YOU think this is a problem, don't be shy to let your Viewers and Subscribers know that! It's always ok to let your fans know if there's something bothering you! Have an amazing day!🌺

My dad went to the 1964 Worlds Fair when he was a kid. The hotel his family was staying at offered transport to the Fair. A limo pulled up and my dad and the other kids assumed this was the free transportation, and jumped in. It wasn’t. The limo held none other than Walt Disney. He was apparently pretty nice to my dad and the other couple kids that were there.

My favorite ride was definitely It’s A Small World-because I was 4 years old when I ride it in 1965! I truly remember riding it! And I DO remember the Disney Characters roaming the Fair! It is still my favorite ride at Disney World! ❤️ We lived in Port Washington, LI so just took the LIRR right to the Fair. My parents let my 14 year old brother and friends go to the Fair alone lol. Can’t imagine that happening today! Thank you so much for producing this! We have a lot of home movies of the Fair and I love looking at the old footage!

The 1964-65 New York World's Fair was the highlight of my childhood. I remember that the lines for the Ford Magic Skyway and the Carousel of Progress were incredibly long, but the attractions were worth the wait. And, yes, people were stunned by Mr. Lincoln! The A.T.&T. pavilion introduced touch-tone phones for the first time. I was very excited to try those out!

One other tidbit about "It's a Small World:" The song was written by the Sherman Brothers, who were also responsible for "Mary Poppins" and many other scores and songs throughout the Disney conglomerate. At first they didn't like the song, but Walt said to them, "Boys, this is the song that's going to put your kids through college." He knew a hit when he heard one.

I got so teary-eyed when you got to Carousel of Progress... It isn't my favorite show at Disney World but it's probably at least my second favorite. I love it a ton. I only wish that they'd update that Christmas scene though at least once every ten years... But even if that wish never comes true, I'm still glad we at least have it to experience. I do feel kind of sad though when I see people skipping it on purpose just because it's "boring". I don't find it boring in the least. The song makes me wanna dance in my seat and sing along and the learning experience I get every time I look at the technologies of the past with the show makes me feel a little more enriched. I'm entertained every time I go on it while I'm learning and that's a good thing. A very good thing. I wish that notion wasn't leaving EPCOT, though. Edutainment is the best of both worlds. People who grow up watching Reading Rainbow or Magic School Bus should know this...

I attended the '64 New York World's Fair while a jr. in my high-school marching band. We had been chosen to be the State of Wisconsin honors band for Wisconsin Day at the Fair that spring. As part of our duties, we marched and performed throughout the main fair grounds. Literally thousands of fair goers experienced our presentation. Many thought we were the University of Wisconsin band due to the large red "W" on our uniform overlay. I really enjoyed and "understood" the concept of the "fair mission". On our free day we ALL dressed up with sport coats or dresses, dress pants and shoes. For us it was a "dream world". I liked it so much that I visited again after graduation in '65. Our family visited Disneyland in '67, I was 19 and had all that pent up indoctrination from years of the Mickey Mouse Club and the Sunday Wonderful World of Disney tv shows. I was in awe. One could literally eat off the street....no gum, cigarette butt, wrappers, cans, cups etc.! The buildings were authentic beautifully crafted works. Lush landscaping, like a fairyland. Perfection not seen before. I went to WDW in '84 as a band chaperon, honeymoon '93, with two children (ours) in '07 and '10. A true family adventure experience! We loved it! Thanks for the memories!

As soon as I saw the model of the fair at 15:27 I had a flashback to Iron Man 2 with Tony rediscovering the new element! The globe was recognisable from that film too.
