✨ INTERNSHIPS ✨ So, I noticed that there aren't a lot of videos that talk about internships here in the Philippines, so I decided to be the one to kickstart the discussion! I've previously mentioned that in addition to being a student and making videos here on youtube, I'm also doing internship programs. To this date, I've completed five (5) internships and I'm currently in my sixth one.
I've definitely learned a number of things about the process, so I've decided to make an Internship 101 series to share my learnings with you! For this video, let's start with the basics. We'll talk about what internships are and why they matter, then I'll share a bit about me and my own internship experiences. I'll also talk about some of the things you should know before you get started with internship hunting 👀
Take note that I'm not an HR manager nor am I an internship expert 😅 A lot of the things I'll say in my video will be heavily influenced my what I personally experienced. Hopefully, you'll be able to pick up a useful thing or two!

Some fresh graduates when they were asked "why should we hire you?", they would tend to discuss their "skills" yada yada that they are hardworking and so on. The best answer for that is of course, you have to relate your experience from your internship stint to the position that you are applying to. Believe it or not, it would be the same for those people who were "career shifters".

Interships, in a way, helps you discover interests and your hidden skills as well. Kaya for those who are planning to do interships, if you really like the things that you do in the company, do your best! Like Nicole said, you could be absorbed by the company and invite you to become part of their workforce if they really liked your performance. Did my internship with Bambike (Notice me Nicole 🍞) in 2018, finished my needed hours after 2 months. Hired me as part time after that, then offered me a regular job after I graduated. 😊

Hi for me. I did my internship this year 2021 when I was in my 1st year. I only did 2 weeks internship then they offered me a regular position. Napakalayo din ng course ko sa work ko. Cuz I'm taking an educ degree then yung work ko is a copywriter/content creator. I learned a lot of skills and earn a lot of experience. For me I really reach out to the company that is not in the Philippines. They pay a lot and it's much more flexible. Now I am a regular employee as a Web builder. My resume is looking good and I can pay the bills na even tho I am still in my sophomore year. I do recommend to do internship as early as you can. 😄

Hello ate Nicole!!! Today is my first internship as a 2nd year college student and I just wanna share how you’ve changed my perspective as a whole. Binalikan ko ‘tong vid mo kasi dito nagstart yung eagerness ko na ibuild up yung experiences ko and magtry ng voluntary internships. I admire you so much and I look up to you kasi super hard working mo and you really have plans for your success. Ayun skl super happy ko today since eto yung first internship ko and ikaw yung naging inspiration ko para magtake ng risk. Kaya kahit pagod, at kahit nakakapressure pagsabayin yung acads at work, fulfilled naman yung heart ko kasi I know that I am doing something better. I really hope na magyield ‘to sa future and maging worth it lahat ng pagod ko ngayon. Sabi nga nila, “malayo pa pero malayo na.” I know that every step counts and kahit maliit man yan at least may progress. So yeah, I can say that I am so proud of myself. 💗

I, myself, interested with this topic kahit may internship naman na ko 😅😅 to all na naghahanap ng internship, maximize the Facebook Job. currently 30% into my internship right now and it's very e x h a u s t i n g but tbh it's pretty fun. there's something new to learn everyday and although it can get monotonous, it's really up to u to spice up ur work schedule 🐸💗 first few days were hell though but i managed to pick myself up in a week and thrive.

I heard na automatically scanned na lang daw yung resumes dahil sa dami ng mga nag-aapply. They’ll just type in a keyword tapos if may na hit ka, they’ll look at your resume pero if wala, automatically trashed na siya. Is this true? If so, scannable ba ang gawa sa canva na pdfs? :( Thank you!

How did you manage the time to balance internship while studying? I'm an 3rd yr college and really wanted to start interships na but I am hesitant kasi baka diko kayanin yung workload plus continuous online classes :(( but I want to build my character and grow already
