I had a hysterectomy last week.. and just found out I will get brachytherapy for treatment.. I will then need exams every 3 months for 2 years to check for recurrence. I am so sick of the world seeing my vag. and now ^ she says i cant hav coffee.. 😭 very informative video tho.. ty

Are the long term side effects permanent, and do you have to use rectal dilators forever?

Great questions - unfortunately, even though fibrosis can be improved, it is permanent. Sometimes people need to use dilators lifelong, but maybe just 1-2 per week to keep the tissues pliable. Check with your medical provider for guidance 😊

It's more important that before you even make a decision you're oncologist your radiation oncologist and her team or his team should present these loud and clearly before a patient makes her decisions.

@@capone1074 I'm having my last radiation this Friday I finished chemotherapy already. Keeping it strong 💪 I'll have an MRI done next week to see my progress. I'm trusting my Lord Jesus Christ 🙏 that everything comes out cured and gone for ever.
