Amazing content. I can validate that same variables with a rotary and 21mm the 21mm cuts more. Although once in a blue like Nick says cutting with a rotary is fun and doable but we find ourselves chasing the rotary defects from cutting which can take 2 extra steps as opposed to just cutting with a da then finishing with one pad on the rotary.

I don't have a pad washer. I use 2 plastic bowls, in1 of them I have rinseless wash, the other is empty and for spinning excess Rwash on the pad. Does this pad cleaner have a grit guard equivalent? If not, it seems like you would be just pumping dirty RWash back into your pad every time you clean it. My "dip" to clean bowl gets pretty cloudy looking. When my pad starts to accumulate polish, I'll spin it outside and clean it with a toothbrush while spinning at a low speed. Is this a safe practice? Also, do you use the ridges on the pad cleaner like I use a toothbrush?

So if low speed is key to cutting (with right pad and abrasive combo), then what are the key variables to finishing/polishing for maximum gloss? Is it faster arm movement with low speed? Or fast speed with rapid arm movement? Or same technique and entirely dependent on the product/pad combo?

It depends on how you use the rotary. At high speeds and with lots of pressure ( like they teach) , it’s definitely going to do damage. With the same pad, polish, pressure, and speed, the DA by design cuts faster.

Actually after watching more of this video along with many others it seems like you are trying to disprove or debunk other popular company videos. It is strange and feels a bit petty. Most of the “debunks” are pointed toward other companies proven methods. It is weird. And awkward as a newish viewer. Maybe give more tips to improve on others instead of saying they are wrong and many people haven’t found an issue? Speed 5 on a certain tool with a pad works freaking amazing for me… not so much speed 3 or 2. And I never feared of burn on paint. Stop trying to disprove without actual evidence. We don’t see what you are talking about without you actually showing us. With both products.
