Ditto, I'm in Jacksonville, FL and 9 out of 10 shops I've tried to get quotes from have all been $8,500 plus. I just want two front speakers, 2x tweeters, 2x rear speakers, and an 8in free air 8in sub. The mainly cost most of these places are quoting me is saying they will have to fully rebuild my rear deck. Plus bypassing my stock amp for an upgraded amp. I just want to fix my door panels (two front new door panels) I also wanna fix the rear deck where the previous own cut into the 8in aubwoofers mounting hole. I do plan on using your upgraded amp, front speakers, rear speakers, and 8in free air sub (oh and the aftermarket head unit). It's not installing the equipment that worries me, but the previous owner really tried to cut corners and I don't wanna bite off more than I can chew. I upgraded an 05 Honda Accord using an aftermarket headunit mainly Bluetooth. I installed 2x infinity KAPPA-62IX 6.5 two way in the front, 2x Infinity REF-9623ix 300W Max 6" x 9" 3-Way in the rear, and 2x infinity references 375TX 3/4 textile dome tweeters in the front. Even with the Bobo head unit it sounded great and had plans for bass but unfortunately it was wrecked. Now I have a solid engine and transmission, but absolutely no real stero to speak of and from what I'm seeing infinity isn't the way to go. Please let me know what I can do to get some sound in my car. Yes the stock radio works, both tweeters work. The only real speaker that works is the 6.5 pioneer drilled in the door frame of the passenger side... I mean where does one even start? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We have an Acura 2007 TSX and my son, God bless him for tring, has literally spent 3 - 4 weeks attempting to complete the installation. He successfully installed the front door speakers however failed three x's on trying to install the Back Door Speakers....we havent even attemoted the back trunk speakers, Can you help ius detemine exaxtly what we need for back door and Trunk and Dash. BTW: he eliminated the wire brackets on the back door speakers and last failed attempt was the Rockville RM64Pro/RM68Pro which is the third pair we're sending back

Had alpine sps coax and components in my tsx. Just got the base 2020 tlx. New rf prime 6.5 coax 3 way and 6.75 components. Still running alpine amp and sub. The rf were on crazy sale compared to alpine this time around. Just need to disable anc for the sub. New speakers going in today! Edit: installed components and 6.5 3 way. 3 ways distorting awfully bad. Guessing since the amp is already tuned for frequent based on channel, the super tweeters are trying to process frequencies that are too low. Swapping for the prime 6 75 2 ways this weekend. Already disconnected anc module. Amp just need power connect.

This is tough we don't have a ton of research into the RDX and with the ELS system your speakers aren't worth upgrading unless you want to spend $200+ per set. I would reach out to phantom audio and see if they have an enhanced amp for your car. That would be the best bang for buck upgrade. If you are willing to invest $1500-2000 then we can build you a custom system with all new speakers and an amp you can use with the factory radio.

Hey we don't have much experience with the RDX but if its similar to the other ELS systems its most likely an 8 inch 2ohm sub so the kicker sub might be a good replacement

hey so the speakers in the 07 RDX tech are the same as the speakers in your 2009-2013 TSX so you can order under that model. The tech radio can be upgraded we have a theory on how to upgrade but have no had the chance to test it.

then you are going to want to install and amplifier. You can amplify channel by channel and just do the door speakers to keep it simple.

Danny, most sound systems are set up to sound best in the front and the rear is just used as back fill. But if that is what you want, you can use the factory fader to the back and then install inline bass blockers on your front factory speakers.

Yeah you can do the swap. Sounds about the same. I think they both use Panasonic speakers. The only difference I saw between els and non els speakers is the els stamp on the bottom of the magnet. Speaker materials are almost identical

as door stopper said you should be able to the ELS speakers are different dimensions as they carry like a baffle on them but the connections are the same and so is the mounting. In terms of an upgrade I am not sure since sound is so personal what might sound better to me might not sound better to you.

4 ohm speakers with a decent sized magnet. Pioneer or Kicker you can even fit some PRV or loudspeaker but anything with a huge magnet will not fit unless you cut the door.

Trevor, you want 2ohm speakers to work best with the factory amplifier. Most common brand for 2ohm 6.5" speakers are JBL and infinity. There are also options from powerbass and audison and others.

If you want more bass something with low sensitivity will do. Look at pioneer or alpine speakers they can play really low.

@@alexflores7628 That is tough because no speaker will add the loss of bass you need a processor to do so. There are some speakers that will play bass better but I am not sure if it will be what you are looking for. I would suggest trying the pioneers.

In traditional car audio builds you normally spend 35% of the build budget on front speakers because you are going to hear those the most the rears don't play a huge part. In builds where people are going for MAX Volume they like to shove the biggest speakers they can on the rear deck sometimes they even cut it to fit bigger speakers. I am going to assume you are building a traditional system and already pickup some front speakers. I would keep the same brand as the front and just go down a line for the rears or keep the equivalent. For example the Infinity speakers we offer are the primus line the next step up is the reference line. They have component speakers in both lines. So for the fronts you could install REFERENCE 6.5 Components and the rear PRIMUS 6.5 coxials. If you were looking for an exact model number or brand we will need more information on your exact build.

What’s up brother. I’ve got a 2014 ILX with the 7 speaker premium sound system. I’m looking to upgrade the subwoofer. I purchased an 8 inch sub but I realize it isn’t an exact fit. 6.5 JBL, Audison or Infinity. If you want loudspeakers PRV, DS18, B&C you will have to cut the door.
