We have had SC3 for maybe15 years. The original had inside fold windows and they leaked pretty bad. Over the years the windows became outside fold as you see in this video. Much better. We purchased 3 more about10 years ago. All 4 are still being used today. The modifications he is mentioning can all be purchased from the manufacturer. The mat, camo windows, drip rails. Look on the website and you will see. Also all 4 of ours are on 16 foot posts. We had to brace as he mentions. We also drove T posts in the ground at each leg post and screwed together. They are cheap price. 10 to 15 years and all are still standing. Everything in this video is a good representation. Great video.

appreciate you watching this is good info. the longevity of the plastic in the alabama sun has been my only concern but sounds like you get good life out of them

Weather stripping for the windows and doors. I believe the windows can be reversed to open inside and not to the outside.

I like them. You can see good enough until it gets low light and then visibility is way down. But it helps to be able to hide you from other sides that you aren’t expecting deer

Awesome and helpful video JDC! I have 4 boys and bought a 5x8 Antler Shed stand but too expensive. Just bought 3 SC and taking your advice. Any way to improve on the sound proofing as they are still a little loud? Thanks!

Placed a SC 4 on 8 foot post today. Your video save me a ton of time! Did you use an 18 or 30 inch earth anchor?

You think you can stand one up with a 4whlr? Or do you need that height from the tractor bucket?

I think with a long enough rope and a pole in between you could do it with a 4 wheeler. People use a pole so that it pulls up and out instead of just out. Search for raising shooting house with a pole

Did you end up adding cross braces for the legs? If so, what length 2x4's did you find necessary. Great video.

I did not. It’s plenty sturdy enough without them. If I went any higher I think I would though. That anchor is key

Great video, checking in. How is the 2 year mark with this blind? Im looking at the SC3 or 4, with kids that look very similar to yours. Would you buy again?

@@FireTiger58 it’s still good. I would definitely buy again if the price was right. They are a little more expensive now and I have been building a few from wood again. This is one of my favorites to hunt in though.

i have plenty, just havent made a video because its just piecing stuff together that i have laying around. I just built one this week that has 4 different colors of tin for the siding. lol. that sportsman's condo is the only one that i have bought.
