Are you looking forward to watching "The King's Man"?
@udornyc2 жыл бұрын
I just got the tickets for today's preview (day before official release) in AMC Theater to see it in 2 hours from now. However, I saw the RT ratings (which is often, but not always a reliable indicator) in the 40's% and went to search for some reviews. Honestly, I might cancel the ticket and a refund... something gives me an idea that's going to be a disappointment. I'll probable wait until Kingsmen 3 is coming out.

For all the issues that The Golden Circle had I still found it thoroughly enjoyable, as good as the first? Probably not, but it carries through a similar magic in its fight scenes and characters whilst expanding the world of Kingsmen whilst it does it. I'm excited to see The King's Man next just to see Vaughn expand the universe even further, if it does well and it shows he can create more movies in this universe that don't involve the usual cast (as much as I love them) then I think we should be able to look forward to a much bigger, globe spanning movie universe that riffs on movie tropes from all over.

This was a very good movie, but if you cut out two scenes, it's no longer a Kingsman origin story, but a very realistic WW1 film.

Which two scenes?
@piper9988772 жыл бұрын

I saw both of the Kingsmen movies & liked them very much; however, Colin Firth’s character was killed (or so I thought) & I never understood how he was brought back. I had to “suspend” my thoughts & ideas about dead people showing up in a later movie & enjoy it for what it was, a good movie.

It was explained how he lived - right after Galahad was shot outside the church by Sam L. Jackson, (after the greatest mass-murder comedy scene in the history of cinema), the Statesmen showed up and used one of their super-secret respawn medical packs to heal his headshot wound. Then he was sidelined recovering until found in the second film.
@LeeMajikija2 жыл бұрын
If you never understood how he lived, then you weren’t paying attention. He spoke about this. He got help after being shot and was resuscitated back to life with next-level medical attention. He remained in hiding while he was recovering, then surprised Eggsy when he was fully recovered.

@jadedstar74422 жыл бұрын
I believe it was fighting the Zulus. I only saw the movie once (do want to view it again) it's been a few months now. The British/Zulu war was in 1879. A lot of European nations have a hold in African nations. So the British fought the African Zulu tribe. It was the same slaughter that took place with the American Indians. Funny how history repeats it's self. There was a movie out called Zulu. I saw it when I was young. That's how I spotted it.

@Looper, "am I looking forward to watch this movie"? The answer is a big fat NO. Just from watching the movie trailer itself, it feels like it's a chore just to get through the entire movie. This has that "League of Extraordinary Men" stink to it. I've got nothing against British people but I was and is never a big fan of most British movies because I find the sense of humor in British movies to be stale to say the least.
@Aldrnarii2 жыл бұрын
Not sure it will be much of anything like the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, not that that was a bad movie either really, just a little disjointed. The British sense of humour can certainly be lost on some, however.

So everyone comments on the quality of the movie? That IS important or it would be a documentary. No one cares about the hint of messages in there? Like how these elites will get rich off of the war from our sacrifices? How the British family changed their name to Windsor because their name was German. (British fighting Germans in WWI AND II? 🤔) But let's not leave out the Americans. Prescott Bush father and grandfather to the Presidents was in Germany doing business during WWII. Everyone knows they are related to the British Royal family? Right? Also with this new invention of the airplane they could devastat far more countries that normally would of taken years. Why that's exciting! 🤔 Then there was the father who realized that war was 🦬💩. Think these same elites families are still around now? Wanting to devastated us. Like with the Crown? 19? 🤔😤😡🤑👿
