Seeing the Fate/Strange Fake anime, I went in and searched a bit to familiarize myself on the characters cause It's kinda confusing as the cast grows in number Spoiled myself with some stuff here and there, then as I was watching your video talking about the series.... I got surprised its not even finished yet That made me SO CONFUSED cause I've been seeing stuff about fate/strange fake maybe wayback 2011's-2012's or earlier Speaking of which, I even felt a mandela effect remembering differently from the said earlier stuff/contents of fate/strange fake and felt they were somewhat altered and some even deleted when I revisit the site last 2023 with a friend who was also a fate series fan The one I notably remebered was seeing an entry stating Gilgamesh, True Archer and Saber VS Tiamat but was no longer there, of which my friend accused me of telling lies With that I ask: Did they do a rewrite of the whole novel? or was some earlier entries at typemoon wiki just false information or some leaked draft that was eventually changed

You can tell Strangefake was made by an experienced fan of the entire type moon catalog and not just Fate. It's a show that would be appreciated more if you actually knew all the deep lore of the verse like Jester being a dead apostle, it wasnt in the special but Faldeus specifically mentions methods to kill Zouken, the entire Flat/El Melloi discussion is literally a mirror image to how Waver and Kaineth interacted in zero, the post credits with Zelrich, Fate Prototype, etc. There is alot more as the show goes on.

Fate strange Fake is a convoluted story. This world have the characteristics of Fate worlds and Tsukihime worlds at the same time. Meaning that Heroic Spirits can be summon and Dead Apostles can roamed the Earth freely. It also stated that this timeline that is somehow completely different despite having the same terms and reaching the same conclusion as Fate/stay night. This unique Holy Grail War took place in the state of Nevada, Snowfield, US, in 2009. It is not considered a Grail War similar to Fuyuki and Romania from Apocrypha. The Snowfield HGW is a byproduct experimental ritual that is conducted by mages of the American branch. They are not going to usurped the Holy Grail to get some wishes but to understand the mechanics of Heaven's Feel. Foregoing to advanced knowledge or turned it into a weapon. The strangeness begin to manifested as there were two Grail Wars happening at the same time. The first is the False Holy Grail War, summoning the standard classes except the Saber class. Servants summoned on this are coined of their with 'False' like False Archer - it doesn't mean they're weak. After all the Servants are summoned, the second ritual would follow through known as the True Holy Grail War, summoning all the seven classes. Because of the magnitude and how much the system has been altered and modified. Anomalies began to take root such as Pale Rider, a conceptual entity that embodies pestilence. Another one is called the Watcher, a unique Servant that supposedly guided individuals that makes them ascended into Heroic Spirits. It doesn't have combat abilities and so it wanted it's master to become True Lancer. And there's Ishtar, the true Ishtar, the aspect of the goddess that personified her extreme arrogance and brutality. The image of the b*tch that Gilgamesh and Enkidu truly knows. She is summoned inside the body of an Einzbern homunculus. Her manifestation is a foreboding curse one she evoked upon the World to Gil and Enki. That she will appeared when the two friends comes together. What's even more messed up is that the Servants summoned on this Holy Grail War whether the anomalies or the standard classes. All of them have been strengthened to the extreme that their powers can be truly thrown around.

I love Strange Fake, absolutely crazy entry into the Type-Moon universe and the best part is that it's not afraid to implement things from other works outside of it. Something that I feel was also worth mentioning is the phone talking with Zelretch. That is actually another DAA called Caubac Alcatraz, a very important character to MahoHako which is probably the most underground TM work. Seeing him back was so hype and put the biggest smile on my face.

He's a talented mage, but only is considered a failure because he's bubbly and fun instead of cold and calculating. He's honestly a great commentary on the status quo of Fate's mage society. Not to mention we did basically see a cold and calculating Flat with (LN Spoilers) Thia, and if that kind of power was roaming around I'd be fearing for my life. Hard to believe that with magecraft alone that guy wasn't able to be stopped by Enkidu, a buffed Enkidu at that too.

Also so far loving Faldeus and how he's got soldiers with him in a modern tech vs magecraft way. I'm so excited to see how the fights shake out and how all this is gonna end. I think people generally suggest Unlimited Blade Works > Fate/Zero > Heaven's Feel... then watch whatever you like. But they explain the Holy Grail war in the pilot, so you shouldn't be totally lost.

For this one, it's actually out of the hands of type moon. Strange Fake is published by Dengeki Bunko (Kadokawa) like most light novels, instead of being published in-house like Apocrypha or Fragments. So an EN company like Yen Press or Seven Seas or whoever else has to see the value and license it. The proof is the Indonesian version of Strange Fake.
