What You Need To Know Before YOU Move To Wenatchee, Washington!

I just went through yesterday and frequently had to pick my jaw up off the floor. I had no idea areas of Washington state were so grandly beautiful. Massively sweeping elevated scenic views. Unique ridge line home lots overlooking lower valley property. Reminded me a little bit of certain aspects of Wyoming, Idaho and Arizona all mashed up into something wholly unique and attractive. It really is an area that needs to be seen with the naked human eye to be appreciated. Photos and words can’t do justice although I’ve tried with words. The amazing apple orchards were surprising as well. Who knew that industrial scale farming could look so good. You can tell the people really take pride in what they do and have. My main and only regret at seeing Wenatchee was not having seen it 20-30 years ago. I would have at least vacationed there a time or two if not moved there. Unfortunately now I’m too old to start farming so it would have to be a retirement destination in another 10 years perhaps..

Thank you for the comment! Yes, I can't think of any other area that offers both mountains and desert in such close proximity. It is truly a unique area. Apples are a big part of our community, you might be surprised to hear that data centers are popping up everywhere due to the cheap power.

Dang idk the property prices seem quite high, people are selling shacks from the 1920's for 300k

Yea, It's only going to keep going up. The area is a bit landlocked by the mountains.

Your clip of interaction at the grocery checkout suggests an ethnic diversity that doesn’t exist here, though I personally think that more would be welcome. You might mention that unhoused residents are here in all weather. I do love Wenatchee but housing is expensive and many have difficulty finding affordable rentals.
