Another con I failed to mention earlier is that many people in the Wenatchee Valley either don't know how to use the roundabouts in a safe fashion or they just don't care to.

​@@LivinginNCW That class would be so, so helpful! I still find myself struggling with some larger round-a-bouts here in England, as they can come in many mind-blowing forms. I've seen 2 in particular in my area if Nottingham that are so big they have 4 to 6 lanes with 5 exits, that have 3 lanes for each exit. I don't know how there aren't more accidents using those!?! So, here's some context as to my many comments today on several of your videos. I've just found your channel this morning after reading a post on the Facebook group Wenatchee Rants and Raves. There was a link in comments to a video that tried to explain the complexities of the homelessness epidemic that appears to have affected the area. From that KZbin video, I found yours. There are SO many videos about Wenatchee. (In all these years, I hadn't even thought to look before 🫢) I've been feeling nostalgic these last few days towards home, and I'm so glad I watched one of your shorts, leading to my subscribing, and now, binging. It's 'hit that spot' for me, and, I'm grateful!

Lived in Wenatchee for over 60 years. Sold and got out of Wenatchee. Best thing I ever did. The planning department for both Chelan and Douglas County destroyed a Beautiful Valley. So Sad.

The place has gone to hell. I live on Blewett Pass but work in East Wenatchee. Moved here in 2001 from Dog Town, (Spokane). Taxes are out of control . This state has gone total hammer and sickle.

You need to make 100k+ to live comfortably in WA. Everything costs more. There is no State tax and it's a blue state so everything else is taxed to the max. Cost of living is sky high. Don't come here if you're just starting out. Wait until you make more money. It is super beautiful but just costs a lot to live there.

I livedin Wenatchee and east Wenatchee just over the bridge hahahah iykyk for 5 years and in chelan I worked at Campbell's resort and the one in Wenatchee I forgot the name Ive been in Pa now for 8 years I moved there from Cali with a girl who was from there , I'm from Texas and never seen snow , boy was I in for a surprise, I just googled my old address on Google maps And waked the whole main road all the way to Walmart at the end of town and the place has transformed so much it's unrecognizable . I Lived off the main road next to an insurance place, also school street and a few more I can't remember at the moment .The house I lived in chelan didn't even have a mailbox we had to put one up. Thanks for talking me down memory lane maybe I'll be back one day who knows. Learned what a Safeway was , never seen one of those before. I did get to experience Levenworth and the shops that was really nice, especially in the winter seasons its so pretty.

Wenatchee Looks like a nice place to visit but I see one problem that needs to be addressed. The self proclaimed “First Amendment Auditor” there that exercises his “Rights” by pestering the public.

Seasonal Affect Disorder is a real thing during the winter months. I remember one winter we didn't see the sky for 3 consecutive months. We never had wildfires in the 80's unless kids were playing with fireworks in the hills. I saw a rhumba of rattlesnakes high above Appleatchee, probably about 50 of them in an area no larger than a tennis court. It was late in April so they must have just emerged from their Winter den. Traffic congestion is really becoming an issue at certain times and on certain days. Another thing I've noticed is the Fast and Furious crowd loves to rev up their engines every Friday and Saturday night. Then again, residential neighborhoods can expect to hear speedsters using their streets as a freeway, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. By the way, the Chelan County PUD is raising the price of power, electric, and other services.

Wenatchee is terrible to move to. The Homeless problem is out of control. The amount of illegals here is out of control. Traffic is out of control. Cost of living is out of control.

Indeed, the cyclists are getting out of control. They are increasing in numbers and are tearing up the trails. That, and they are riding way too fast, not only in the nearby hills but also on the Loop Trail. Cyclists are only supposed to ride 10 mph on the Loop but quite a number either approach or exceed 30 mph putting pedestrians and other cyclists at risk.

I am moving to Wenatchee soon. Where did you get the 120k population number from? Google tells me 35k.

Hi there, Yes Google will tell you 35K, but that is just in the city limits. The whole valley and surrounding area is closer to 120K. I use that number because it reflects more on the different amenities the area has, which wouldn't be possible if the city was only 35K. The valley is divided into two different counties so it's difficult to get all the numbers from one spot.

I am from the other side of the mountains but it’s so wet and dark and I don’t want to have to leave the state so I considered central or eastern wa. I also have asthma so I can’t have a smoke season I wonder if Idaho is a good place I loved Utah but the people are odd
