Wow what the heck? I was just discarded after 15 years from a covert narcissist. His reason why we couldn't work I just didn't get him emotionally and nobody gets him but now he found someone who does. And he's the real victim in all this because he lost everything and he did it cuz he was depressed for years. No apology or admitting fault to me or his daughter 13. 🙄

10 years here she cheated ( well no proof ) but i asked to see her her phone and bank statement s but instead she decided to leave , no accountability no nothing worse part 10 out of 13 years of my son life and poof gone like a fart in the wind . i’m a man i’ll figure it out but leaving/abandoning a child just like that .. disgusting! ran a great smear campaign on her way out and did try to hover me but i laughed her aways ( she was looking for place to stay )

There was no abusive prodding, but a vicious cycle of passive aggressive vindictive behaviour in response to me reacting to his breadcrumbing and probably lies of omission . It was so maddening.

So sensitive, I'll give you an example. My divorce was final this week. Ex-Husband makes dinner he says how do u want your steak, medium-rare please. I fix sides we sit down to eat I cut into steak and it's well done. He ask me if I like it I say the flavor is good just like it more rare next time. He responds I guess I can't do anything right, I just can't seem to please you. I assure him it's fine and taste good. Then he starts ranting and rages picks up my plate and throws away my entire dinner. Since he is not good enough, and I'm a spoiled brat. I'm shocked and have no idea what just happened. He leaves goes to a bar(I guess, he won't answer my calls) and doesn't come home for hours. I'm asleep when he gets home try to talk about it the next day and he says wow I can't believe you are still shaming me for not cooking your steak the way you wanted it. This was just a small example from our 11yr marriage.

I knew something was off with my ex best friend. I kept saying to myself. She can’t be a narcissist because she is to much of a victim. Life has been so unfair for her. I cared about her. I tried helping her in so many ways. She used to poke at me all the time to provoke a reaction. When I would confront her nicely, she would become such a victim, including crying. I was the one apologizing when it was Really her fault. Thank you Ben. After watching this video, I have awareness of how evil she is. She is gone from my life. Thank God!!!

I have a question,a female that was involved with the narcissist person that I'm involved with & she played him having him to send her some penis pic which of course he did I confronted him and now he's ignoring me,why is he ignoring me I'm not the one who sending strangers off the Internet picture of my body parts is it normal behavior for them to go silent when you present them proof of something so stupid that they have did

It might be embarrassing for them to face up to. It’s a normal thing for people with these traits and this diagnosed disorder. They do not at all deal with confrontation. Will get mad at you and spiteful for pushing reality onto them. Will punish you for speaking about it at all. They often use silent treatment. It’s their red caution sign sent that they are displeased with something you did. It’s basically a message that they want you to get that you won’t be tolerated without respite if you ever do such a thing again. They want you to fear your loss of gifted affection by them. If you bring it up whenever in whatever way again there will be further passive aggression, silence, and/or plotting to teach you a lesson through coercive manipulation.

@@ladylucid1169 yes, they pretend not to understand to avoid accountability and guilt and shame for the way treat you . And if you love the good things about them, it’s all the more difficult to break the bond.

That'd what happened to me. He does not have the classic signs of overt but he is definitely super selfish, lack of empathy and he was super sensitive to any feedback about his life/how to improve (financially, professionally etc). He was always depressed and playing the victim, but he told me one day "I want to date other people to make sure you are the one". He was neglectful towards me in all sense of the word. He is super resentful too. Everything Ben is saying is spot on!!
