Looks like a very nice addition to your tractor. I am 63 now and don't enjoy getting cold plowing snow with my open station tractors anymore. I have a very rare 1970 John Deere 2520 diesel wide front with a cab and heater. It is 2wd so I put a set of chains on it for the winter. It doesn't have ac but the windows all open up. That is what I found really interesting about your cab. Mine is really primitive compared to yours. Noisey and doesn't seal up very well as it precedes the sound guard cabs. In the winter, the heater will feel much better than the cold air outside. Thanks for sharing. Gary Fox, Iowa

Absolutely great having this cab. Cutoff tee shirt in o degree weather. Definitely need rear ballast so it's not tip happy. The front window wide open when using the bucket is Definitely a no no. 10 hrs running time when the tell tale rod blew ot the window, good thing for safety glass. The window does have a handle lock with a second setting to keep it open a couple of inches and still use the bucket fully with no issues. A secondary fan for summer is a great idea. All an all very happy with this cab

nice video. you said be careful raising the loader with the windshield open. my friend did that and shattered the windshield. ordered a new one from john deere , the cost of the windshield was $219.00, but they had to order it from Austria, where the cabs are made, and the shipping was $700.00, what a shock, be very carful, I know my friend will be
@justdoingmyownthing.25045 жыл бұрын
The sad part is all they would have had to do is reduce the length of the bucket level indicator buy 2" on the end and you wouldn't have to worry about breaking the front windshield.
@brucepeabody66445 жыл бұрын
yes that would have been such an easy fix. I do have a question for you, at 3:44 of the video I noticed all of your hoses were up on top, is that some kind of conversion kit to move them from down below, I have bad hands and that would make it so much easier to reconnect them. Thanks for any help you could give me in this matter

@justdoingmyownthing.25045 жыл бұрын
@@brucepeabody6644 www.hoseandfittings.com is where I purchased a lot of the parts. I have hoses that also go to the back of the tractor so that required some T's. If you're only doing the loader all you'll need is 4 hoses made up and you reuse the loader male quick couplers. the hose you will need is a 3/8" BOSS on one end and 1/2" FFO so all you need to do is call up the guys at the website and tell them you need 4 of 06R2AT-06MB-08FFSX and the length you need in inches for the hose. You will also need 4 of each of these FF2406-08-06, FF6402-06-06, 6425-06-06. These parts plus the single point adapter kit is all you need to convert your 1 series tractor over. Everything is o-ring based so it is quick and easy to assemble. I would say depending on how mechanically inclined you are, I would say somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour to do. Those part numbers are for the single point I have which is 6 ports or 3 circuits and is considered 1/2". I think the 4 port is also 1/2" but if it was 3/8" you wouldn't need FF2406-08-06 as that takes it from 1/2" to the 3/8" the 1025r uses. You would also use the hose part number 06R2AT-06MB-06FFSX as that is 3/8" on both ends instead of the other hose which is 3/8" on one end and 1/2" on the other end.

I`ve been a JD guy for over 40yrs. But JD is why our new tractor is a Kubota. The Kubota Premium cab is a far better designed cab by leaps and bounds. Not to mention, JD`s tractor prices were way out of line. Kubota smoked the JD in price on everything. This JD Mauser cab was not engineered very well at all. One of the biggest reasons we didnt like the JD, it blows all the engine heat rearward. Kubota blows it forward, away from you. It made our decision a whole lot easier.

Any we have installed and added a radio, we have put the radio in the headliner and the antenna on the back of the cab up high next to where your work light is attached. One issue we have seen is when you add a rear wiper the rear window hits the wiper blade when you open it. We have put a strap on it to keep the window from opening too far. We have installed several of the cabs on 2025R and 1025R tractors. Is the any way you could add a picture of the mounting of the single point connector? I would really like to see that, as the couplers are not the easiest to connect when you install the Mauser cab. Pretty tight underneath there. We've installed a few single point connectors on 3, 4, and 5 tractors but haven't found something for the 1 and 2. I'm going to look that part number up and see if that's something we can get.
