I am new to SD, now in the winter 67F is only two hours per day, usually is 48-58 and gradually gets warmer, but not for a long and gets dark 5 pm. In the summer, water is not warm enough to swim in the ocean, outside temperature may be high, but as day ends, getting chili by night. Parking is huge problem, wherever you go, so you have to plan ahead. Before I moved here, people used to scare me that is expensive, Its actually not (grocery, clothes, restaurants, other services), prices are same where I came from, but the difference is salary. Of course, houses are expensive, but I am not planning to buy anything, rent could be expensive, depends where you want to live, there are many rental options, including renovated shades in someone's backyard as one bedroom. Parks do not exist (I couldn't find one that is all flat and asphalt) , there are hiking trails all around, but I found them really dangerous, uneven surface, uphill or downhill, animals everywhere, I mean, if something happens to me, there is nobody around, you can walk for hours and see nobody around. I feel a lot of discrimination, but that's completely different topic.
