I love the door trim Nick because all we get more often than not in the UK is all the trim is cut at 45 degree angles and joined together like that. I mean painting them is easier and so is cleaning them, but a reveal looks better to me.

That's the thing about carpentry... even mechanical too... if you are feeling a bit randy, there's lots of ways to tease and entice each other with all the jargon involved... oh, plumbing too - especially plumbing. So, you two have fun... but don't blame us if you get sidetracked and have to continue this project next week or something... Looks good so far.

It's tough to power through like you did Nick but the results are so worth it. You wer able to get up and do something which made you feel better psychologically and the trim was a high impact and made such a difference. It looks outstanding. I am a large fella, so one PB&J is not enough & two is too many, I lay out three bread, make two of them peanut butter, make the third jelly, lay the jelly side down on one peanut butter, coat the top of that jelly back side with more jelly, then lay the second peanut butter on top to make a triple decker, 1 1/2 sandwiches.

I was caught up in the hurricane. I have been stranded on the island d with no power for 4 days. Got lucky and put 3 c cell batteries together to charge a small charging stick then charged the cell phone. So I will be purchasing something like the jackery.

Finishing! Yes, everyone that comes into your home sees the “unfinished”and will keep on asking “when”, will mention the “not yet”. And then after they have not been at your place for 6 weeks or two months and then walk in and be very friendly and chat, but will “forget” to mention all the hard work you have completed. All the windows framed, all the doors framed (both sides!!) All the floor mouldings done, in short ALL the trimming done, except for one little piece, about 6 inches long or less in some obscure corner, the last piece you have already cut but have not nailed it in. It is MISSING. You have it in the pocket. You know what will happen? You will show them around and they will “hmm” and “haw” and will perhaps comment ‘t looks nice, beautiful (but fail to use the word “finished”. And then, they they finally arrive at “the” end, the place of the missing piece, the commend “arrives” “O, you missed a piece here.” And you can remark, “What! I missed a piece? Where? O there!” And reaching in the pocket and pulling “IT’ out, you will say “O this piece you mean”, and fit it in. The missing piece is commented on, not so much the finished work! Those 6 inches or so, yes that is it! That finishes the job!!! And the comments will come on the “WHOLE” JOB. And then you can all laugh and smile! Try it! And, by the way, it really looks magnificent, finished, DONE!
